Why do people always say "It's nice, but the ride is harsh"? The ride seems fine to me, although my previous car was a Cerbera which really was harsh. But people don't say that Cerberas are nice "but the ride is harsh".

Personally I do like the ride to be firm -- I think part of the perceived problem with the Z4MC is that you're not sitting in the middle, you're sitting near the rear axle.
Because on a 48k car it's not good enough and part of the reason why the depreciation is so horrific, it's a great car but seriousluy badly built and not designed for the UK, i just sold mine for 31.5k but I had to buy a 52k car to get that deal, 25K otherwise on a 49k car 8 months ago and only 9k, make of that what you will but the fact is they should be better for the money

You mean, unlike a £45k Cerbera of which they sold 2000? Which, I believe, is more than the total number of Z4MCs sold? Personally I paid £37.5k for my Z4MC, new.
