Will E46 M3 front discs and calipers fit on an E36 M3 evo?

I would not bother, get AP Racing BBK, but they are a lot of money

I've got to replace one front caliper (£170), I've been offered a set of good E46 front disc & calipers & pads for £50. It's just a cheaper option

No is the simple answer. At least not without serious modifications.

However, the Brembo 4 pots from the later 840 do fit with a slight bracket mod.

Nevertheless, you're still better off IMO going down the AP route.
