I have the Z4MC, but I get to drive this curtesy of my younger brother and I absolutely adore the Z3MC:
rather large hair-drier
How reliable has that supercharged engine been? I'd love to have a go in that. rather large hair-drier
My last two cars had turbos so the lack of low rev torque is really noticable in the MC. Having said that, I don't think I could bring myself to do that to the car. I'd probably save that treatment for a Z4 3.0 Coupe sometime in the future and keep the Z3MC relatively standard.
love it...
I am biassed too.
First saw one, well heard it first, on the Cromwell Road back in '99 and thought, what's that? Never thought I would own one, but the missus saw one on a campsite in Italy and loved it too, she managed to persuade me into buying her one!
Original or fettled, they are one of the few cars that still make non car buffs wonder what it is.

Considering that the engine prep - parts and labour came to EUR34,000 - have the invoice from G-Power to prove it - I would expect the same reliability as a factory engine. It is running lower compression curtesy of different pistons and rods, as well as SS head gasket. Having a massive charge cooler and different injectors also help. My brother drove back from Munich (1000 miles) in it and it returned 24mpg at a steady 90mph; it also used no oil...Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
