Have found what looks like a corking 95 M3 3.0 Comes with full history, new tyres and shocks, loads of receipts for servicing etc, nearly unmarked Dakar yellow, with black leather. Very, very clean 115K miles. Chap wants £5K. Parkers says £4600 for good private at this mileage. reading through some of the other threads,it seems history and servicing is all with these things, provenance as someone put it. I reckon this could be the one. Would anyone disagree that if it ticks all the right boxes, it may be worth paying slightly over the odds for it? As i am an M3 newbie, all advice and comments appreciated.

With so many 'dogs' out there for around the £4k mark I'd happily pay a few quid more if the right car came up. If you've seen it in the flesh and all checks out then I say £5k is still a bargain for an M3.

Too many of these cars fall into the wrong hands as they become cheaper and as a result they get neglected which in turn drives down the market value of the M3 so Parkers guide may suggest £4600 but I would want an example maintained regardless of cost and these don't go for entry level money. All IMO of course wink

Doesn't seem a bargain, but then a good car is a good car.

Trust your instincts.

£5k for a sorted 3.0 M3 is still a bargain in my eyes. I know I'd be hard pushed to find such a capable car of another marque for that money, especially if it's a decent example that doesn't need money pouring into it from the off.

Agreed though, trust your instincts and good luck.

i payed £4.5k for mine '94 M3 with 114k in July last year, but got Lucky I'd say, i did have up to £6k to spend but I'm happy with it, their wasn't much about at the time that was HPI clear with a full service history and I'd say your better off spending 5 to 6k on a good 3L then £5 to £6k on a cheap evo
