Is there much of a difference between a Z4M and a 3.0i..?

It's with a BMW dealer so as you can guess, it's somewhat above £24k and much nearer £29k. smash

The dealer claims car was retailing for circa £50k new..! eek

The other one that's caught my eye is the following spec, it's somewhat less at just shy of £26k on a 56 plate. Again it's at a BMW dealer:

Coupe, 9,000 miles, Silver Grey, Black Full Nappa leather, Bluetooth phone prep + telematics, BMW Connected Drive-Assist, CD changer, Electric Folding Exterior Mirrors, Leather interior, Navigation-system Professional, Park Distance Control, Seat heating, Voice Control, Remote Control Alarm, Auto-Dim Interior Mirror, Electric Seats + Driver Memory, Rain Sensor.

Your advice is hugely appreciated chaps.

PS: Budget has gone a bit out of the window, I'll stretch it out for a cracker as I'm getting zip return on my savings, so I might as well enjoy it whilst I still can!

Why does everyone want to sell me their Z4MC? scratchchin

I'm guessing the dealer cars with BMW are both hugely overpriced judging by what I'm reading?

Why has no one offered to sell me their Cayman S yet...? boxedinwink

The spec on those cars is very high which will add onto the price. Obviously being in the AUC system will cost more. The car I bought came with a reciept from the previous keeper who paid 24k last june with 9k on the clock. I paid 18.5k with 13k on the clock. The only options mine has are luckily the important ones - stereo upgrade and heated seats.

I use to have a Cayman S and prefer the Z4M coupe by miles, also Cayman S prices have softed a lot more than Z4 MC prices recently, which says something.

29k.. I paid more than that a year ago and thought I got a good deal. They will start to hold their prices like the old Z3M coupe's as they are very rare on our roads and what else looks like it..Maybe a batmobile..thats what my friends at work call it..lol

He owns a 3.0 and prefers it, hardly a shock that one, purchase justification???

I prefer to drive my merc around town, its easier to see out of and comfy because it’s sprung like an old mattress.

I'm looking for a Z4M Coupe if anyone has one for sale.
I made a bid on one today. Dealer said no. As previously said, main dealers looking for very strong money.

Cheers

Each to their own mate, I just think that colour leather would go better with black. With the Blue, black is best imho.

I enquired about that one (if you are talking about the same one). According to the 14 year old sales exec, the dealer can 'demand' high prices on M cars because they are so sort after. After being told the car was part exchanged by a regular customer of theirs, I quickly put him right by pointing out that any number plate starting 'YC' is an ex-BMW fleet car he quickly retracted his comments. I said I would speak to him at the end of their qtr (end of March) WHEN the car is still for sale.

Gentlemen, thank you for your assistance. My search is over.

I struck a deal on a Z4M today and am a very happy chap indeed...!!

I'm fully aware I paid a premium to buy directly from a dealer, but I struck a good deal that I was happy with.

A drive of a Cayman S prior to the drive of the Z4M swung it for me by a large margin....
