Is there much of a difference between a Z4M and a 3.0i..?

Yup, welcome Nige. Now get yourself over to z4-forum.com and seek out a user called Rov1. He's got a silver grey z4mc with carbon roof, csl alloys, custom exhaust etc etc etc. A good benchmark to what you can do to your car if you're si inclined.

Thank you Derin, it's all your fault anyway as you started me on the BMW slippery slope! I'll put some decent pics up when I collect it.

I was also looking at M3 CS's, Z3M's and E39 M5's, but decided to go for the Z4M as they are more appealing to my eye. Amazingly, Hexagon of Highgate had an example of every car I just mentioned, plus a particularly droolworthy Z8..!

Just hope I made the right choice as I followed my heart rather than my head on this occasion..!!

Can't really see how you have dong wrong from the cars you listed apart from the Z8. Never seen one in the flesh. But they look a bit special..

great car... love it! Just upgraded from the Z4C 3.0si. Got a great 2008 Z4MC in ruby black with all toys except the hi-fi upgrade and only 4k miles. Got a bargin! Love the feel of the car and feels a totally different car the 3.0.. much more FUN!
