Just fit performance friction discs, pads and decent fluid.
There are a lot of caged E46 M3s running this setup, going very quickly without fade on the track. There were two at Bedford running this setup (not even the larger CSL disc), no problem all day.
No need to spend more unless you want to add to the bling factor.

Keep hearing great things about PF pads and discs. There are a lot of caged E46 M3s running this setup, going very quickly without fade on the track. There were two at Bedford running this setup (not even the larger CSL disc), no problem all day.

Is brake dust a problem with PF pads like it is with OEM pads? One thing I hate about OEM is the dust. Gotta wipe my shiny alloys after 2 days due to lashings of dust!
If you already have the discs and want to use them then YES you can use various calipers. Most will specify which diameter discs they work with. Then you'll need some brackets making and some people start getting technical about the piston sizes. To buy new calipers and brackets will cost you a few quid and dont forget pads. For some of the AP 6 pots the pads are over £200. My 6 pots are different and therefore use a different pad to the standard e46 m3 ap 6 pot front kit.
