Don't do it mate!!! Get a proper car, for the same money you can have a nice 964 RS. Then you don't have to deal with clutch problems, the BMW dealer network or get associated with the type of people who have registration numbers like M3 GAY, X5 FAT or M6 SAD....

Behave, you bellend!

964 RS is a nice car (if hideously expensive for a 15 year old spitter), but unless it is fettled to the point of being an out and out racer it is nowhere near the pace of a stock CSL.

You are just anti-BMW as you read Evo too much.

The first 3 cars in this year's Silverstone 24hrs were...?

Prepare yourself for potential rectal pain as =

new more powerful model coming out + cars dropping out of warranty + increasing age / mileage + readyful supply of standard M3's at £16-18k + bmw dealers not wanting E46 stock....

My prediction is that you will see plenty of CSL's dropping to mid 20's from current c30k position..... despite them being a bargain at £30k

Blah, blah - 24hrs of Silverstone.... Allow me to direct your attention to the proper events of Le Mans, Spa, Nurburgring and Daytona 24hrs...Hmmmm not a BMWho? in sight, too busy playing with Group N cars in WTCC and a re-branded F1 car. Petronas, sounds a bit like a team I used to know!

Something you can be sure will not happen to a 964 RS! However you just know that the kind of bloke who buys a Red SL65 AMG doesn't mind taking it in the ass occasionally - nor does he mind the deprecitation, bada bing!

Oi! Jap-eye, BMW competed twice in Le Mans, and won once, and their engine was in the MacLaren F1 in '95. 2003 and 2004 24 hrs of Nurbiurgring was a GTR fest, and 2007 I reckon that old Z4M Msport coupe will whip the Porsche butt.

They have powered 3 F1 world champions and are current WTCC champeens.

Aqueducts?

Occassionally? Range Rover Vogue, M3 CSL and SL65AMG in 27 months. Depreciation bill £140K and counting.

Yeeesssssssssss - BMW don't make a bad engine that goes into the back of Peter Saubers F1 chassis or the Williams chassis that won Le Mans in 1999 (a lucky win BTW given Mercs probs and Toyota dismal Le Mans luck!). However F1 and LMP cars are hardly product relevant old man - otherwise every Audi A3 driver would be reminding us how great the Tdi motor is...

McLaren F1 - Fair point, although you do make the bigger point which is...1995.

Nurburgring victory - yeah but the latest one was lucky again as the leading Manthey car at the time was 2 laps up when Timo buzzed the motor, then Collard shunted the re-built car on the out lap... And you could say the M3 GTR comes from BMW's attempt to cheat in the ALMS, hardly their finest hour.

WTCC - ha, ha, ha, ha - like I said dude Group N...BMW v SEAT v some private shitters and a Re-badged Korean shed.

So, you want to give me odds on Manthey or Ulzen making something to see off the Z4M Coupe in the 24hr rennen this year?

Say 3 to one?

Oh mate - me and you betting is pointless cos either your superior Le Mans memory costs me or you love for JPM costs you!!

Rob, Menu and Larini - all three did win, although with reverse grids, weight penalties and the engine allowances Chevy have because their engine last saw motorsport duty in Opel Lotus circa 1892...

Mate WTCC is a circus, great for the drivers to earn a living don't get me wrong but as something to boast superior technology - Nah...have you driven the 320Si??!!

How is a Z4 that has been given to me for free in anyway the same as spending 30 big ones on a CSL?

Ah, because your first post ridicules BMW owners with comments like "BMW dealer network or get associated with the type of people who have registration numbers like M3 GAY, X5 FAT or M6 SAD...."

IF you were targeting CSL only then "X5 FAT or M6 SAD...." would not have been required.

In fact, to get a free car you must have to endure what you so succintly put RedSL owners have to e.g. a bit of touch your toes for the sponsors sausage!

(while cursing the name BMW over and over again)

Whether you got herpes off your girlfriend for free or off a $10 hooker, you've still got herpes.

Hope that helps.
