I'm getting back into MX5s after 5yrs away from the forums

It used to be :

MX5 Nutz was the best UK forum for modifying but it seems very quiet now
Miata Net
MiataTurbo but you'd better know your stuff
PH was always behind the times and relatively quiet
The OC kept crashing / losing data and was mostly for the polishers

Are there any good UK forums now or has it all gone to facebook groups ?

MK1 - 3

Modification - mostly performance.

Ah, being the owner of an NC then I can be of no use, I actively avoid any contact with the lower echelons biggrin
My main gripe is that too many forum and FB page owners lump them all together. I find solace in the very few solely Mk3 areas and don't bother with any of the UK forums as they seem mainly NA and NB focused so i'm surprised you're having problems.
Miata net is good (apart from the obvious) because it's split into sections, but yes a lot has gone to FB these days, it's taken the lions share from the forums which is a shame.

The main problem is that I can find loads of small / crap sites and no main UK site any more.

Yep, that's 'cause everybody want's their own, falls out and thinks they can do better so everything gets diluted.
I was pondering over starting an NC FB group as there didn't seem to be much going on in that respect anywhere (apart from on Miatanet), but I finally discovered a mainly US based one so joined that. It had a handful of Brits on there, but very few.
Anyhow last night there was a big bust up when a Brit posted up a clip of him doing donuts and the mod wiped it off, so we now have two NC groups, Europe and US based rolleyes
If it had been forum based then you could have simply given Europe it's own section and kept it all under one roof, now i've got two streams hitting me, 95% of which is garbage.

Quite a few groups active on Facebook nowadays, I suspect a lot of the traffic has migrated over from the fora.

MX5 Scotland forum is practically dead whereas the Central area FB page is pretty busy.

I run Mighty5s.com we're a mostly sane bunch and a small community. Most users are interested in performance and maintenance, so no dodgy stancers hang out on there.
