I think you may be on a hiding to nothing replacing the suspension when it sounds like it's the seat that's at fault. I drove two today, one after the other, so effectively a back to back test. The CRD+ equipped car was less crashy and more compliant than the standard spec Bilsteins with standard springs.
Out of interest I did read that Meister have made an even softer road version, but not sure if we can get it over here.
I have CRD, not CRD+, but I appreciate your point. I do know that when I drove home from having the Meisters fitted, back when I was still on standard seats, it was a hell of a lot firmer on the way home than on the way there. I remember being quite surprised, particularly after hearing everyone rave about how supple they are. There is simply no way that the CRDs are more compliant than the Bilsteins.

I'm certainly not going back to standard seats.
As the + is more track focused I would expect them to be harder than the CRD, but don't know for sure, I guess here we aren't comparing like for like.
I generally don't give advice or get involved with handling discussions as it's very personal and subjective, but after that back to back test yesterday I thought I would post up what I found.
They were on the softest setting and I fully 100% expected the ride to be harsher so was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be the opposite, (both cars were on Nankangs btw) Unless there is a difference between CRD and CRD + in this department then I suspect there is something wrong with your car, your set up, maybe there is a mod you haven't mentioned or it is basically just the seat. Bearing this in mind I would check everything and maybe message Jaylo at Meister or whatever his name is and ask some questions. Maybe get a drive in some other cars too because as per above, you can't go on what people say.
Who fitted them?
KW always had a rep for being rock hard, but i've never driven any on an MX5 so wouldn't know.

True, and I was just pointing out the CRD/CRD+ thing for that very reason.

There are no mods I haven't mentioned. The suspension was supplied, fitted and set up by Blink Motorsport and I'd like to think they know what they're doing with fiddling with MX5s. You could be right of course, there could be an issue with incorrect fitting but I'm not really sure how it'd be causing me my problem other than incorrect pre-load?

I've owned one KW coilover equipped car before and it wasn't harsh, and Corten Miller's car on KW V3s certainly isn't. One thing I do know is that I'm fed up of the current situation.

I'm thinking of having CM underseal my car, and I might have them take a look at the suspension and see what they think to the set up.

I appreciate your input, by the way. Cheers.

Two things people do wrong is undoing the wrong locking ring and upsetting the pre-load and also not loosening and resetting the swinging arm bushes when the car is lowered, but that's rookie stuff and as it's been done by a specialist it's quite unlikely.
Yes I think getting a second opinion from another specialist (or anyone) is a good idea.
