The Jap tyres and notoriously slippery though. My car has some weird Michelins on, loads of tread, but about 7 or 8 years old (low mileage car) and on these cold damp mornings I am having to take it very easy if I want to avoid swapping ends!

All up and running again mate sills have been repaired and fully rust proofed , power steering is fitted and working perfectly , got to sort my suspension out though, i think the rear springs have gone weak so im hitting bumpstops on bumpy roads , see the pics a bit further up to see what it currently looks like , im just waiting on this now

independent look instrument cluster (not the dial faces)

Yes, bought a pair and swapped over the driver's seat. Not perfect as they use the earlier seatbelt stalk, so I am still vaguely on the look out for a pair of newer Mk.1 cloth seats with the integral stalk, then I will sell all the others on ebay! Still got a Recaro bucket sitting in the front room wink

This is my 1.6 with a Turbo conversion that I did myself and at the moment I have 179bhp and still have another 40-60bhp to come very soon!

Need to change the HT leads and front pads, also want to rub down the wheels and paint the wheels back

your painting the wheels back phill ? how do you do that then tongue out

paint them with halfords steel wheel spray , they will look good in that , comes out a dark silver , i think skinny done his dynorod van orange , you could do that hehe

ive gone for dark wheels brake dust looks good hehe
