I'm going to leave the sills black for now as I'm trying to keep it as original as possible. I've got the original steering wheel as well but prefer the slightly smaller wheel for everyday use.

Its going into Freelance Mazda in Kent this week for a new clutch (is 88,000 miles good on the original clutch?) and service tho. Heard there quite a good garage to go to smile
Tis nice to see an unmolested standard mk1 smile

Ha! I just did a Google to see what model had that front end and ended up finding your MX-5 diary - nice work!

Heh, the funny thing is the previous owner did the exact same last week!

He was just browsing the forums on here and recognised the car, albeit a little different wink. And then googled it to find that thread. Turns out he was pleased how it has turned out and had similar plans before selling.

Maybe the moniker is meant to be ironic: Monza = "The crucible of speed".

(LOL)

This is mine (sorry it's a new Mk.3),

had it from new - 1st September 2008, still yet to top 5,000 miles and use it just about every day, which was fun in the snow we had earlier!

No great mods, other than a trip to WiM resulted in new springs lowering me 30mm and a geo set-up to match.

No need to apologise Tim; a nice set of wheels you have there smile

Ever thought about racing the 2CV you have there; looks a hoot!

Yeah, it is a Monza, although I'm not sure what else it has apart from the stickers to make it a 'Special Edition'..
But nevertheless a bargain at £1700 =oD

The alloys and badging were the only thing that made it 'special' - yours looks nice, although the ride height looks as if you're going to be doing the Paris-Dakar in it!

I've had my MX-5 for a couple of months now too - might get a couple of photos as soon as it stops raining, although it looks shabby compared to the majority of '5s on here!
