Hello all,

there are quite a few of these available (eBay / MX5Parts, etc).
Can anyone recommend any to me? The eBay ones seem cheaper, but are they any good?

I'm interested as my UK 1.8 doesn't have any fitted and I'd like to reduce the 'shake'

cheers

Nope, tested one for a week and got rid, the bar is stiff enough but the mounts you can flex in your hands. I noticed no difference whatsoever so sold it on.

Surely there must be some positive strut brace experiences...?

this page would suggest that there are loads of positive feelings for the strut braces:

at some point they are going to get put on my car but cash flow is too restrictive.

i always thought the 1.8's came with floor braces?

anyway, the ones from MX5parts are meant to be ok, i have them (on a 1.6) but changed a few things at once so can't really assess. doesn't seem to shake much tho.

ok - I have now bought a Mazdaspeed tower brace which fits inside the engine bay. Any tips on how to fit it? Looks straightforward enough...

I thought all 1.8 got the underbody and behind the seats braces...

Are yours still there ?

They certainly work.
