MX5 Icon..... what do you think?

nobody seems to have anything specific to say about the icon...
Maybe there is nothing specific to say about the Icon. It's just a limited edition Mk3 so it'll have a nice paint job and a few other goodies thrown in but still just a Mk3 MX-5.I'm not saying that's good or bad (I'm fairly neutral about the Mk3) but you'd get a better response just asking peoples opinion of the Mk3 MX-5.

Also, what’s wrong with an icon, why the Big Al?
I had one for a couple of year really great cars, I just don't think that the MX5 measures up enough to be given iconic status IMHO. OK so MX5's are icons.....
Note to myself....Must learn to keep my bloody mouth shut when not sure of subject!
I'll pee of't back to the Tuscan forum then
Coat on and walking......
We have a 1.8 option pack MK3
I think its great, only things i would improve are
A bit more power (although did buy the 1.8)
Exhaust note could be a little better but its not bad
and finally the most annoying bit is the remote central locking doesn't give a reassuring clunk when you lock the doors.
As you can see im picking on minor things, that's about the only thing i can fault on the car. Buy one.

If I had one the first thing I'd do is to replace the springs with the Eibach Sport springs. These are the springs the car was designed for - they fitted stupid tall springs for the UK market to get past new pedestrian safety laws on new car. These taller springs ruin the handling and can cause unpredictable handling at times. See the early Evo magazine test drives - the only model they could recommend at all was the 2.0 Sport as that had TC & ESP to get around the problem.
Wheel In Motion, a very good car alignment garage did some tests and discovered that the cause of all the problems is the UK springs. The Eibach springs and a good re-alignment completely transforms the car!
