Obviously, it's not ideal, but the top of the Mk1 seats are narrow so the harnesses sit fairly comfortably.

Make sure you get a harness with a decent rotary release that separates both shoulder straps from the lap straps. The cheaper ones just split the lap strap and are a pita to use.
