Is there a difference to the front end of all versions or are they all the same? I'm particularly wondering about the mk1.

I used to have a mk2.5 but had to sell last year cos we needed the money for our new business. I really fancy having one again but it would have to be for about £2k. Should I go for an import (do they have more toys?) or would a uk one be better?

Thanks for your help

A lot of imports were not rust proofed, but just as many came with air-con.
I would say thats not the impression given by the UK owners Club. All body shells were rust proofed to the same levels apparently...

This might come as a revelation to some but they DO get rain in Japan.
Jap market Roadsters have always had rust-proofing just the same as UK market MX-5s. They are all made on the same production lines, only the standard fittings/options/legal requirement changes are different.
