I took a quick drive to Tomintoul today, the highest village in Britain...

Driving along snowploughed roads with the roof down takes some beating!

Nice one thumbup

What tyres do you have on there ?

Ours is totally useless in the snow, the slightest incline and it's going nowhere laugh

They're Michelins. Nothing special, the car behaved suprisingly well, no scary moments!

We only had a brief dusting a couple of weeks before Christmas frown

I looked out of the window after Top Gear one Sunday night, saw the white stuff everywhere, then, inexplicably found myself out in the car slithering around like a loony silly

(In a safe and controlled manner, obviously !)

The snow last Feb over here in South Wales. It was snowing too heavily to get the top down - I would have been soaked! The 40 min trip home took over 2 hours. It was great fun biggrin

this is a couple of years back, just got home from a Romper Meeting

had Yoko A539s on at the time, so minimal grip. Actually i remember turning round in the street to leave that morning was a bit quicker cos it just donuted rather than needing to do a 3 point turn to get out.

Raffles - lucky you've got 4x4 levels of ground clearance there! I take it your wheels are bigger than they're meant to be?

Love that pic. Those houses look idyllic in that setting.

the shops off line but they were marked up at £50 so might get a set and fit them , makes it a bit more cozy roof down smile

I just got it a couple of months ago, entirely standard.

Lowering springs were ordered yesterday. It does look like it's on stilts just now!

Had a lot of fun in the snow at the weekend. In fact, I've never driven so fast in the snow as I did in the MX on Friday night. Really felt like I was getting the hang of it, gentle slides, reasonable traction even up hills. I was really surprised.

Went back up the hill on Saturday with a mate and my camera for some action shots (sorry this is also posted in another thread)
