Disagree 100%

The only mods seem to be the alloys, head & tail lights and the carbon effect centre-console lid.
It otherwise looks like a nice clean car and at a good price.
My guess is that there are just a lot of cars on the market and you haven't advertised it in the right places.
Have you tried advertising on OC & Nutz forums? They both have selling rules so take account of them before trying to sell there.

I guess, it's the first thing I saw when I clicked, try taking photos with the headlamps in the down position.

Market for MX5s seem to be week so far this summer. Price looks reasonable for what it is. If you are struggling, I would swap out the front and rear lights for originals, maybe even the wheels, and sell them separately on ebay. Oh, and I know its only psychological, but you may want to drop the price from £2000 to £1995.

Tax and MOT running out over the next month or so is not attractive even though the car is nice. Selling a car that close to MOT renewal will always be viewed with suspicion - Do at least the MOT then you may just get a bit more interest.

Good luck

I like the twin headlamp conversion-it would be a good idea to get an Mot on it-makes the whole package more appealing! Good luck!

I agree with the MOT thing.

The lights would put some off, but given the rest of the car looks nice it wouldn't bother me.

I also agree going down a few pounds to get the £1995 effect.

I think the lights are more of a selling feature. They certainly look a lot better than the standard barn-doors.

agreed, looks good to me - personally i'm not keen on the rear lights or spots but that's never gonna be a deal breaker and you'd never discount the car for that - £40 quid to return to stock if you were so inclined.

the low pro's i really like, seller is right to show them as they are a plus point imo if they are good ones and decent kits are around £400 from memory.

wheels look better than the 7-spoke stock 14's.

price seems fair - condition looks good interior and exterior. think there's just a fair few of them around.

Put a new MOT on it, it will only cost you 35 quid and will be peace of mind for potential buyers.

Nearly cheap enough for me to buy.

BRG is a love or hate colour though.

i take it off you for £1.36p plus bag of cadburys buttons, ok ?

kidding aside, that look right for price if it had a mot on it.

Yeah I do like them (got Raybrigs myself) but they do shout "modified" and imo will put off a lot of middle of the road buyers.

Can you reverse the mod and flog them on? If you eBay them you'd probably make some extra coinage.

+3 on the MOT. Also try and put the original parts back on, filter etc. Price wise I say one or two hundred over the market.

Take a look at this.
It's not quite like-for-like but it shows the sort of value-for-money you are up against at this end of the market.

As a recent MX5 buyer, here are my comments:-

Wheels - Not to my taste and would have probably put me off the sale completely. If you have the standard ones, put them back on!!

MOT - It only has 1 months MOT and this doesn't say much about your confidence of it passing its next inspection. For the sake of a few quid, put on a new MOT and it can be a selling point (Wait a couple of days, and you can do it with 13 months MOT).

Rear Lights - Pretty much the same as the wheels. Return to standard and offer the Lexus lights for sale seperately on Ebay or throw them in with the sale of the car.

Engine Size - 1.6 will put a lot of buyers off, but at least its the 115bhp version!

Apart from the extras, it looks like a very clean and well looked after motor. I'd say £1700 as it stands or £2000 with a fresh MOT.
