Have found an MX5 which is in great condition for its age, and has been looked after by a owner/mechanic for the last 5 years, the bad news is that it has no service history and has, wait for it 14, previous owners.
The car is a uk 1.6 with 100k Mls. 1993. But it is in really good condition. Would you buy it?

So it's had 13 owners in the first 10 years? Buy on condition, if you're never going to sell it it's not a problem, but remember that others may have issues with being owner 15!
There are quite a few of these out there, personaly I'd find another.

I think mine has had 14 owners since new and it didn't really worry me ,I guess that a lot of people buy them for the summer then sell them on for something more practical

There's no guarantee that car of that age will be any better cared for with a lower amount of owners imo (ok you will always find one garage queen) but you will pay more for them

If it's good it's good. You're buying a 15 year old car so condition is more important than statistics. I wouldn't get hung up on the number of owners if it's a better car than others at the same money.
