Hello folks!

I'm quite new here although I've been reading the forums for a while.

I recently put my 5 up for sale but I've not had a sniff of interest and was wondering if you could give me an ideas or advice. I'm not sure if I've over priced it or if the advert doesnt do it enough justice!

Any advice would be much apprecaited.

Cheers

Lee

Well the car looks fine and the ad is ok but you haven't said whether it's a 1.6 or 1.8...

Iit's good but it doesn't mention if it's 1.6 or 1.8 or what model it is. Also has it had a cambelt change, if it has mention it.

perhaps list the service history e.g
01/01/2007 - 54,000
01/01/2008 - 63,000 etc etc

I'm in the exact same boat as you since putting my MX-5 up for sale EIGHT MONTHS ago - not a whiff of interest, despite advertising on Pistonheads, eBay and Autotrader x 2. I've also noticed a tonne of threads just like yours, and all from owners of 'aspirational' cars - particularly two-seater roadsters (Boxters in particular). It's just a bad time to be selling a car like this, and for a number of reasons - primarily the credit crunch causing people to batten down the hatches. I've basically written this year off - absolutely no-one is buying so unless you're willing to just about give it away I'd put it on ice and try again next season - hopefully things might have picked up by then.
