A friend of mine is considering getting her second MX5 and has seen that one in the classifieds here, only problem is that it couldn't be much further away from her. The advert states that it's former owner is a MX5OC member but I just wondered if anyone here knows the car and could provide any history.

Hmm, with reference to my post a few lines below this one - I've been chatting with this chap on email aobut this car, think I'm gonna go see it on Thursday.
Still not sure if I really want a 1600, but hey, i've got the day off, why the hell not.
Barring the small chance of me buying it, I will report back what I find if you wish!
The seller has been really helpful actually, I originally asked about a different car and he gave me a sneak preview of this one.

Don't do it ... it's a dog ... bits hanging off everywhere ... what you want is a 1.8 ... or a Clio ... MX5's are rubbish really.Still not sure if I really want a 1600, but hey, i've got the day off, why the hell not.

Seriously though it does look a cracking car so if you don't buy it I'd love to know why / what it's like in the metal. I've also just spoken to my friend and she has had a chat with the seller today, seems he really knows his 5's and is a nice bloke to boot.
