Fair enough I suppose - but it just adds fuel to the "closed shop" feel of it all. If you can "get to know" people on a forum first I find it easier to have a chat with them.
Here you go biggrin

I got a buyers guide on the mx-5 (from last time they did one) straight from Practical classics.

I think it cost 2 quid and they send it to you.

Owner's clubs are very much dependent on who is in them, and also significantly reliant on your attitude going into them.

I've been to owner's meets where they can be boring/cliquey, but I've found it is possible to search out the like minded people or even get onto the inside of the clique on occasions.

I'm in the Corvette Club (www.corvetteclub.org.uk) and with over 700 members I've got a few (very) good friends from it. Sadly due to time that's the owner's club I'm in and the MX5 one is not one I've joined, although recent interactions with MX5 people from the MX5OC forum would show them to be a great bunch of guys, so I guess the thing is to search out the people you'll be most interested in spending time with, I think it comes down to despite having a similar choice in car doesn't necessarily make any otehr person someone you can talk and have a laugh with.

I want an Elise!
