On my 2004 Grand cherokee used to average around 17 mpg and around 250 miles per tank. On a long motorway run from Birmingham to Edinburgh once managed to get over 280 miles out of a tank.
this is an old thread but still relevant im picking up a 98 4.0 LTD this week paid £410 its been in a barn for approx ten years but starts stops going straight to my mechanic 120,000 miles so we`ll see what we have
My dad has just sold his 2.5 petrol xj Cherokee which was surprisingly good on fuel considering how dreadful the 4.0 where. 30mpg+ was doable on a run, they are quite rare and sought after though.
