Classy vehicle - far more so than, say perhaps Seville or Lincoln from same period

Picking this up today. Only RHD WK2 V8 Hemi in the UK from what I can tell. Do you know different? Would love to know!

Not sure if joking. It's 4WD Quadra-Drive II.

Doh! However, the WK2 was available in 2WD in the lower trims in the US.

Group photo. All up together, road legal, and all been out on short drives this week. Now I just need somewhere to go.

It's a '48 Series 62. Last of the flatheads...

My black '48 ended up going to Belgium some 25/30 years ago. Great engines

Thanks, quite nice. I consider buying a 1946 Series 63 which will be an addition to my 1958 Cadillac Series 62 and 1969 Cadillac Hardtop Sedan Deville.

Did you get your El Camino yet RoadToad?
Nope, it's becoming a bit of a saga...

Car had a crack to the windscreen, which it failed the MOT on, as expected. New screen has been sourced, but the dude from Autoglass that turned up to fit it didn't know what an El Camino was and had no interest in attempting it.

Now awaiting a specialist to come fit the screen before resubmitting for MOT, then the paperwork can be sent to DVLA for registration.

Not helped by the fact that I'm 100 miles away from the dealer, and said dealer isn't open on Monday or Tuesday, so I've lost 2 weeks with no progress made!

Then it's down to DVLA to process the application, which could be another mission in itself... I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, but I'm jumping up and down in frustration haha
Any sign of your El Camino yet, Road Toad?

I suspect that that will pass the ULEZ with no issues
