That Firebird looks stunning, congrats. I much prefer a Firebird to a Camaro. Any more pics?
Not many yet to be honest. The weather has been iffy since I got it, and I don't plan on letting it see rain very often. hehe

These are from when I went to look at it.

You can just see the seller's mustangs in the background (a 73 and a 69 Boss 302 clone). His funny car dragster is under the tarp.
He'd had the body done last summer, new sills and quarters. Nice and shiny, and the car is very solid, but there are plenty of things to do which will keep me occupied for a bit, which is what I want really. Got quite a few bits and bobs on the way from the states, mainly trim pieces and what not. The interior needs tidying up, the dash is a bit scruffy and that Momo steering wheel has to go.

Thanks for the pics, that's lovely, you must be well happy. I'm a big Mustang fan, there is just something about an early Firebird. This thread gives me an excuse to post a pic of my Mustang. It's a 1967 390 GTA which I imported 18 years ago.

I am really happy at the moment. Spent more than I wanted, and I'll be spending plenty more, but I figure life's too short to wait any longer!

That's a lovely mustang, and I dare say it's worth 'just a little bit more' than you paid 18 years ago! eek

I paid $13,000 for it when it was $2 to £1. Admittedly I've spent a fair few quid on it since, but it's been a better investment than money in the bank, not that I'd ever sell it! The prices for fastbacks now is crazy, I'm certainly glad I bought it when I did.

Enjoy the Firebird, its certainly one of my favourite muscle cars.

I’m still wondering why I bought this, for some unknown reason I always wanted one, even though I had never seen one in the flesh, let alone driven one. When I say driven, you don’t actually drive it, it’s more like herding.
One day I’m planning on adding a lot of power and a race chassis and keeping it and then I seem to come to my senses, but I can’t quite bring myself to get rid of it. Possibly one for the drunken eBay purchases thread.

Nice number plate Andy...

RR, yep, pretty happy with it - it's a lot of car for the price. Got a new carb arriving today and a wee list of jobs to do, which I am enjoying.

Just put a deposit on an 87 El Camino. Waiting for the MOT to come through so I can get it registered.

First Yank and ridiculously excited about it!
