I suspect that that will pass the ULEZ with no issuesMy 2004 F150 Lightning does not meet the new ULEZ requirements

7.3 Powerstroke diesel.
Not a chance in hell of passing ULEZ. It didn't even come with a catalytic converter from factory!
I live IN London, so a real issue.
Obviously I plan to keep her as a Sunday car and pay the £12.50, but how feasible that will be long term only time will tell.
Only another 20 years still she's exempt.

I'm surprised - I thought that the grey imports managed to skirt all that foolishnessMy 2004 F150 Lightning does not meet the new ULEZ requirements

Remember some years back when the LEZ (not ULEZ) zone was created around the M25? - and when anyone with a diesel powered truck, had to comply with the then new emission standards - existing users if wanting to go into the M25 bounded zone were faced with either selling the vehicle (and buying a new truck), having the vehicle modified at several £K or paying a daily 'fine' each time (several hundred quid as I recall) - much the same from October with any pre 2015/2016 diesel car or pre 2003- 2005 petrol car. I recall people within with older diesel powered motohomes finding them worthless overnight if they lived in London and the endless fleets of buses and truck leaving London for the north - and the new replacements coming the opposite way.

Mine is still sat at the importers.... At least they've posted some pics to instagram for me to perv over!

What is that one 16v? I like it. What engine etc?
Thanks! It's a 1967 Buick Riviera, with a later worked over 455ci engine instead of the original 430ci. Mated to a 3 speed TH/ST 400 which has been built as well, posi rear, air ride front, and some suspect subwoofer wiring...Cannot wait to get behind the wheel!
Nice looking car 16v, I do like the non-Chev GM cars but was itching for another big Chev. If I hadn't found one I'd be looking at a Wildcat or similar. I had a friend at school who would occasionally turn up in his dads FJ40 swb Landcruiser fitted with a 455. He later became the world jet sprint champion.

That Riviera looks so good! Here are a couple more shameless photos of my Z28 now it's starting to look like a proper car again.
Love that nice matt/satin engine dress up kit, suits the car so well! I'm sure as well that I've seen you on the M62 as well... some bloke said:

Buick at the time had a lot of good tech, thin wall castings meant they were lighter, the 455 were essentially bored out 400/430, and were just torque monsters! I was also looking at some A Body cars, as well as a few first gen camaro's, and hotted up C3's. I don't feel like I lost out too much as the nice ones of those were well out of my price range! I was massively tempted by some of the pimped out 60's caddy's as well!Gassing Station | Yank Motors | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
