The Jeep GC lease thread
Discussion
Just had a call from the MD, who explained the situation and was very apologetic, basically they had the 20 cars which is where the £1m on the ad came from, sold those quickly and received more enquiries and the sale managers made a call to sell more on the assumption they could secure more cars fromJeep. The last few days they have been negotiating with jeep to try and secure them but unfortunately it couldn't be done, hence the delay in finance papers being issued.
Shame overall for all concerned, but time to move on now.

Think we all need to write a letter of complaint.
To be honest it probably isn't worth the stamp, I suspect as long as they made money on it they really couldn't give a flying monkeys. Mangoletsi Limited,

Most of the people losing out aren't local to them and would probably never be customers anyway.

This doesn't explain why some people who ordered late on Sunday have got one?Shame overall for all concerned, but time to move on now.
I didn't get one but was on some sort of reserve list supposedly.
I really feel for those with cancelled orders but asking for compo, complaining etc will do nothing.
In a weeks time another deal will be out there and all move on. it's the way of the world.
They've given an appalling level of service but it won't harm them at all. If a deal comes up people will grab it.
If this proves anything it proves that if the price is low enough people will buy and out up with anything.

We received the cancellation notice today as well.Shame overall for all concerned, but time to move on now.
With regard to your conversation with the MD, Fraser.
I phoned and spoke with a person on Sunday to ask a few question and the person who answered (who was very helpful) was called Fraser.
Might be a coincidence with the name, but it might have been the MD picking up the phone. The "Fraser" I spoke with was very happy to discuss and promote the deal.
From your post, it sounded like the MD was blaming over enthusiastic sales people for taking more orders over the weekend than they had confirmed cars. Is that a fair reflection of the conversation?
Because if that is the case, the MD himself couldn't have been working on the weekend himself taking calls, as he would have known all about it. So, it must be a coincidence...

No one on here get one then?
I've got one, apparently. I won't be holding my breath though, as i'm sure there will be a few twists and turns before it's potentially on the drive! I tried an online chat this morning but didn't get very far with it.I've cancelled my 'fallback' car today, an A6 Allroad, so i'm left with this still shady-looking Jeep deal. Just hope it pays off now!
A cynical chap such as myself might be thinking that perhaps there had been a miscalculation on the offer and the advertised rentals were not achievable, say perhaps due to a misunderstanding of the support terms given by Jeep and would be very very surprised if anyone took delivery of one of these cars?

No, surely not! Are you telling me an upstanding and highly respected company such as Mangoletsi would do such a thing? It wouldn't be the first time, would it! I think it's the 'done thing' for a lot of lease companies.
