Hi ladies and gents... I have an old photo with what looks a lot like an American muscle car in the background, but I'm not 100% sure what it is... Can anyone help identify it?

Could also be a 2nd generation Camaro (since that and the Firebird were based on the same car).

I don't think it's a T-top, the area around the top of the windscreen doesn't look right to me. Weird vinyl roof I think:

Gen 2 Firebird/Camaro. 1975 or later. Don't think it's a TransAm.

This. Just a normal Firebird with a vinyl roof I think

Hmm....maybe, but the green car has a chrome strip into the roof line, & the black doesn't flow around the door. Could also be a Camaro, I suppose; old yank coupe covers it, I guess.

It's not a Trans Am as the TA had the fender skirts and spoilers.
The wheels identify it as a Firebird, although they were interchangable with Camaros.
The Landau roof didn't arrive until 1976 and was a Camaro thing so may well be T-tops.
I suspect this is a Pontiac Firebird Formula - this was the down-spec performance version which was often faster than the TA as it was lighter.

Might be a formula 400 / some variant of a firebird.

Firebird I am sure. Formula 400 had the two forward facing scoops on the bonnet which I do not see in the picture. But it is not the greatest picture

The Scoops were changed in 76 and that rear screen first came in for the 75 model year.
