I think this is currently the only early Cougar for sale in the UK, it's restored so shouldn't need a hoard of parts to go with it but I suppose it's always handy to have them if you can find them... https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1003007 … I really do like it!
That Cougar is nice.....bare shell rebuild as well, so good value really, as you pay $30k in USA for a car that had been stripped back and done like that.

I'd take the Cougar over that 1st gen Firebird.

From Motor Sport 1973, never seen an orange Shelby before. Looks like a 68 ?
Wonder what happened to it ?

Its a '69/70.
Grabber Orange paint was a special order option and there were only 7 x GT500's built in Grabber Orange, so as you say I wonder what happened to it in UK?

That Shelbys UK plate is a London issue, but no trace of it on DVLA. Perhaps it's another one that went to Scandinavia.

Another UK registered Shelby, this one dates from mid 1976.
The plate is a Nth East London issue, but no trace on DVLA

And the person that pulled James Dean from the wreck of his Porsche, holding him as he died.

John Aprea on the left played a wrong 'un in an early episode of 'The Streets Of San Francisco', meeting his maker at the hands of Michael Douglas's rozzer issue handgun. He reminds me a bit of Lee Marvin.

A between takes shot on location for 'Bullitt', note the completely intact hubcab on the Charger...

'Making Music To Watch Storms Go By'...?

Just started reading the Brooklands road test book on Challys, Chargers and Polaras etc, some great period photos in it and the writing is often very evocative of those less uptight times, and nothing like as dry as some of the UK magazines were at the time.

Are the rear 3/4 windows fixed or do they wind up and down (power?) as the door windows do?
