Yep, saw that last night. Was indeed a lovely colour, and looked well restored, with all the EPA kit on it, and down to retaining the original white inside the door shuts and underhood/trunk areas as it was originally.Had to laugh though when they said they wanted 500k for it
I still prefer the Charger Daytona over the Superbird though, Daytona is rarer as well.

Given the state of the bonnet, you have to wonder how much more filler, sorry, "bondo", there is elsewhere.

Yes, the cracking filler was a worry, and as mentioned, the tyres on the seats. WTF? I quite like an Impala.
I like the big chevs, they are like sitting on your sofa at 70mph and plenty of room for friends. Also, with the SBC there's so much potential for power upgrades (ie, swap in a big block...) Actually, I like pretty much any big US car before around 73, when they started getting ugly and slow.
Same here, the wafty two and four doors up to about '73 tick lots of boxes for me. If I had the room my search for the next classic would have been over months ago. Just been reading the Brooklands book on Impalas, 1965 was a peak sales year with 1,068,614 of them sold, that's a seriously impressive rate to be churning out big family cars.
I still keep looking at those two blue Impalas for sale on c&c but it's no good, no matter how much I wish they'd fit my garage the idea is a non starter. I like the rear lights on the LHD '65 but the RHD '66 car is the pillarless version which looks better overall, to me it does anyway. There's a classic car storage place not that far from me where it could be kept if I bought it, but it would be an extra expense every month and a bit of a drag having to drive over there just to have a play with it or take it out, I'd much rather have it in my own garage.
Moving on, this C3 looks nice for the asking price but it's a 700 mile round trip to go and look at it....

Odd that it says it runs great but needs trailering away....

That's because its not been UK registered yet. Text in ad says complete with all NOVA paperwork etc, so it is a fresh recent import, yet to be registered with DVLA.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chevrolet-Corvette-Stin...

Guy is clearly a trader.
Thats a fair old run, plus its probably still got salt spray from the trip over! so it will need the paperwork sorting, plus i will need a proper going through before its safe to use, Brakes on these things are notorious for leaking/sticking/stuck etc,
And so called sunny Florida , is actually sub tropical, cars there rust as fast as Italian Submarines ! Ive seen E's and Big Healey's that have come from Florida , they just have well spent there life on the beach at Dover,

This is '73, and you can bet it's wafty. You might need to knock the back wall out of your garage though. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-Chevrolet-Impala-C...

His '81 Transam looks interesting at first glance.......until you notice the 5.0 engine and see what could be 'sink' on the drivers door. Cheap enough to consider swapping-in bigger engine? proper Poncho, perhaps stroker SBC or LS lump?

Agreed.Same issue with cars from South Africa that have lived all there lives in Durban......riddled with rust from the salty sea air/ocean spray hanging in the humid air.
While they may not have to put salt on the roads in Florida, doesn't mean they are not potential rot boxes.

From the front wheel arches back that green Impala is alright, but the front end looks like Fort Knox
