On a totally different vein.......

Jungle Jim's Camaro funny car........back in 'the day' over the pond Jungle Jim was a big 'pull' in drag racing.........Jungle Pam his wife was too.......but for altogether different reasons (search back in history).

Some nice 'cackle' sounds here!

Look at the Camaro's spindle mount front wheels and see where I got the inspiration for the wheels on my Vette!

No one for the driver that doesn’t want to be noticed!
Leary car in a Leary colour!
Never really understood the concept of a GTO
With no roof??
I did view one a long time ago with a view of buying it,
But it was a turd so just walked !

Yes that’s actually in hand ,
There’s a guy who lives local that years ago my brother and I used to share a workshop,
He brings in mobile homes and big o’l campers from the US
So hopefully there be a useful relationship and he can put things like a Hood and Quarters in one of these huge vehicles?

Not Simon at Conyer by any chance?

The theoretical face slap !!
Don’t worry I’m focused drunk

Seriously though I’m pretty confident that it’s going to come off ,
In fact I’ve already started sourcing some of the materials I’ll need,
5 litres plus catalyst of Epoxy sealer
I’ll need another 5 plus cat but it’s a start!
4 litres of Eco phos wash Etch primer,
Fabulous product by Max Meyer , perfect for etching new panels,
And so it begins!
I saw this in my Classic American mag last night NaT, seems these could help with registering the TA if needs be?

Pam Hardy - arguably the very drag race first 'staging' girl..........'outstanding' in most respects she was a serious working member of the Jungle Jim race team.

Yeah cheers Leigh
All possible useful info, I’m reasonable confident that it can be solved,
And given the time it will take me to breath new life back in to the old girl, I’ve probably got a couple of years to do it if I take a chance and buy the car,
The rationale being if it proves to be impossible to register I’ll have a very nice 1-2-1 sized ornament laugh

Obviously I could just make it a trailer queen
And just tow it the shows !!
Probably be cheaper on gas and less chance of an embarrassing break down !!

That photo isn’t Jim and Jungle Pam it’s Tom Ferrano and Barbara Roufs, nor is the one standing by the front of the Dodge, that’s Barbara again.

Pam is actually standing next to Jim’s funny car in the modern colour photo Rosco posted.

This is 'Jungle Pam' - one can perhaps see why I confused Barbara and Pam (both having similar 'attributes')

Saw a bumper sticker on a 50's Chevy truck at the Guildford cruise some years ago which said "If it's got Wheels or Tits it's trouble"

It kind of stuck in my head for some reason yes

This is turning into a Pamela fan club at this rate,

Don't mind a nice distraction from motors.

Wonder if she looks as good today, scratchchin
