Sell the Lambo and buy those two, you know it makes sense hehe
Thank you for thinking of me, use to have a Duetto, in fact had 2 but one was one lady owner, 13,000 miles,

now what would that be worth today,? Love the SS Coupe, My dad almost bought a brand new one off Rob Walkers

Garage near Longleat, They had 3 unsold cars in the showroom and offered him a huge discount but he ended up buying

a Mustang instead.

As much as i would love to get involved i think i got enough work ahead of me without more especially at my age.

If i had the funds i would just give them to a restorer and tell him to call me when there done as they don't come along like that

everyday, Now got the builders in and they keep asking me for more money rolleyes so only window shopping now for a while till something

goes, How you getting on with your builders ,you can't really do much yank wise till you know what size wise you can buy. confused

The SS is close to the top of my wants list, such a pretty little thing from every angle.

Getting absolutely nowhere fast with this garage business, garage door specialists and sparkles are either not answering my calls or not ringing back when they say they will. Already had one sparky not turn up at the weekend with no call or text to say why. Drives me round the twist, I just want to get it all done.

Looks like my chum at work is very keen on that red Dodge Dart Swinger, says he’s going to give the seller a call. In the meantime I’ve spotted a RHD manual Maser Biturbo that’s popped up, not every Maser fan’s favourite Maser, granted, but they float my boat. Swings and roundabouts again...... we’ll see.... wink

News at ten the Chally looks fantastic in that side profile pic wink

Similar frustrations here with sparkies (and other trades types...and the garage door people as well)

So many people using 2020/21 holiday budget's on home improvements instead, and they can all pick and choose jobs, as there is so much work out there at the moment.

If not to everybody's taste could work in your advantage, got the badge and the racing history,

Funny you should bring up Maserati, the guy who ownes my local Ferrari Maserati dealership popped by today

and in conversation said he prefers his Maserati custumers to Ferrari one's

Builders ,sprayers, infact most tradesmen are very busy and can't seem to get any sense out of them at the moment,

My builder guy was meant to start in November and has only just arrived now, was hoping not to have to live in chaos

over the summer , He's already pulled a wall down so a bit late to stop him.

More time on the beach with my boys just to get away from it.

Looks like we’re all in the same boat regarding tradesmen, oh well normal service has resumed and life goes on.

Interesting comment about Maser and Ferrari people, I’ve heard similar before! I’m currently marooned at Wembley Yard for a few hours awaiting a path homeward bound, time for some gratuitous youtube bashing once again..... yanks, Masers, Alfa’s, etc etc wink

I managed to get a roofer to actually come and have a look today with a view giving me a quote, so that's a start. laugh

Been busy ordering bits today for the Firebird, let's see how quickly they cross the Atlantic. Some stupid bits missing that I never noticed before buying, such as the dome light, and a clamp holding the battery down (!).

I had a reply from Firebird Central re the shipping costs that were quoted at $750, he says 'about $300'. I've already sourced most bits elsewhere now, so I won't be ordering and paying the high shipping costs, then trusting them to refund me. Seems an odd way to do business to me.

I've found a place on Ebay US with the correct deluxe interior seat foams, so that's next, then the new bumper I think. Slippery slope this... wink

I remember a few years back when I had fancy to go and get a 'proper' Maserati (V8) I recall being told that Maserati (back then) had the highest prices for both servicing and parts.
Ferarri came second and Lamborgini were third (and least expensive - if there is logic in the term)
Being as Maserati are now owned by Ferrari (am I correct in this?) and Lamborghini are owned by Audi (and use some of their engines - as presumably Maserati do with Ferrari) - how does that analogy work now?

Not any more.

In 2010, Maserati was put into a new seperated group comprising Alfa Romeo, Abarth and Maserati, so became seperate from Ferrari.
As such, as of 2020, Maserati is now part of the wider Stellantis Group, the result of the merger of Fiat-Chrysler and the PSA Group (which I don't think will be great for Maserati in the long term)

Seems that things have changed (significantly) in terms of who owns who. When I was working we used to supply 5 star and upwards hotels with electrical switches, sockets and associated items. Hotel names, like Hilton, Marriot, Radisson etc for years have not actually been owned by the names on the door - they'll be run by or sub management groups simply using the 'prominent' names, logo's and systems - there are effectively franchises. Most of the groups running the hotels are overseas based outfits. Ironiclally the remaining hotels and groups that are UK owned are headed by people and staff who didn't originate from the UK.
Seems that motor manufacturing has become much like this. Correct me if I'm wrong - but not one supposedly 'British' car manufacturer is actually British owned anymore is it?

Just been looking at Ebay and the current crop of complete pooh, Page after page of what looks like a Agricultural Auction in Arkansas laugh
Turds Pickup's everywhere lol..........................................

There does seem to be a slowing now, and i cant help buy wonder if a return to the ol daz's may be prudent, ie actually standing in front of a seller with some readies and show your a serious buyer, go in low and see what happens,

Saw the Red C3 made just over 14 + commission, not out of the way at all, i suppose this type of selling has replaced the face to face deal,
one can go in low and not have to face being told to f--- right off ! laugh

Shame great fun trying to have a deal, ........................................................................................................

Lots of wealthy ex-pats living in or have holidays homes in Croatia. I know of a couple of guys that live a lovely life in semi-retirement with some nice toys (cars, boats and young trophy wives smile) in and around Split.

It may be a language issue but this line would have me running for the hills:

To be fair ive seen worse! Cheap entry level Mustang, and bare in mind most of those 45K cars for sale looked like this a year ago!
As with all of these one needs to go a have a look, i was going to have a look at the Dart near me, but thought better of it, did'nt want to waste the sellers time as i just cant be assed to take on another project that will take an age to do, suck up some serious cash and ironically still be worth half of what the Ford would be worth done !

Thanks, yeah theres loads of boring stuff about it on here! laugh
In a nut shell, A 71 340 RT, S code, 727 heavy duty, 2500 stall, 8-3/4 open with Strange internals , Half shafts etc,
Full 3" 40 series Flowmaster system with H pipe, Engines 30 over with all the Normal Tricks Stuff, the car goes very well, and actually handles pretty well for a Yank, The small block suits the E Body so well, and even though its not technically a Muscle Car it could deffo embarrass a few !
