Nice thought but that's where it will stay, would need to read the manual again and a well charged battery pack.

Just had a bit of a surprise ,My old Super Charged Falcon just been listed on "Car and Classic" ,

Says 350bhp on a print out but i've always doubted it. Probably nearer 290/300 ,

Looks like he's cleaned the underside and changed the seats ,had worn period Cobra buckets when i had it.

Feel a little like, when you see a ex girl friend that you still got feeling for, Another one i should have kept.

Good looking car the Falcon, same sort of colour as the turdy one on Ebay,
To good for me, i need a turd, laugh
and its too rich for me, and at 10mpg i'd rather have the White Griff that was sold last week, and have a shed load of cash left over!

Im leaning more and more towards getting another Blackpool car, and paying for road tax! Plus a Polyester car and a top quality outside cover means it may just survive a North Kent Coast winter ! laugh

So the 73 hasn't got the ram air ,i didn't know that.

My mate who had the blue/white stripe T/A spent thousands on it fitting fuel injection which he had to adjust with a lap top,

He never did get it to run wright being either to rich or lean,Worst thing was he sold all the parts that came off on E Bay

so couldn't put it back to stock unless he bought the necessary parts again which would make it a very expensive excise ,

You said that you are earning less now than a few years ago so hearing you have 32 hours is not good news ,

Easy for me to say but if and when things get normal and hopefully busier your hours will improve ,it's just when.

Talking about locking down Brighton and Portsmouth which is dangerously close to us, most won't recover on a 2nd lock down.

If every business and i mean every one refused to close and the public in force totally ignored the lock down and stop being so

English just wondered what the authorities can or would do.

A bit miffed when i saw the old Falcon today but at the time to make the car mine i would have spent a fair bit, needed new front seats,

new steering wheel, roll bar ,Hurst shifter, tyres had gone off , the exhausts needed to exit out of the side and the wheels needed to be powder

coated either black or anthracite just to give it more of a hard edge ,all small things but mount up ,no point doing all that then selling it

Plus i would have preferred a stroked 302 to give it more power than the Super Charger. Doesn't really matter she's gone now unless

i want to pay £32k to have her back. Probably like going back with a ex girlfriend ,isn't quite to same best to leave it where it is.

Ilke you i would much rather have a ratty one ,£15k plus change,no OCD about cleaning it,and just drive the wheels off it.

If you don't need the rear seats something like that white Griffith 500 is looking like value for money not just that' it's up for £6k more,

Can't think of much else you can buy now for that money,a TR6 maybe which is nice but slow and to old ,probably break if driven hard,

then we're back to yanks again and £15k/18k doesn't buy you much now either.

Need to go somewhere hot and sunny and be happy driving a beach buggy. That will do.smokin

Yeah no problem with no rear seat! Blackpool cars with the World Class Box are easy the use, but they are modern by 70's yank standards! so ones has ECU's and Cats to worry about! So while not to complicated they are a world remove from say my RT laugh
Your mate with the EFI kit on the Tran Am , Why do it???? just fit a new Carb and Fuel pump and Tah-Da the car if mechanically ok will run like a top!
These Dinosaur car were designed to over fuel, Floor a 4 barrel and half the gas with go straight out of the exhaust! thats the black smoke!
Surely thats one of the reasons for buyer a 50 year old car, zero tech crap!

But alas there aint much available around 15K, so were now looking at 20 plus as a entry level, and 30 to get anything the right side of ok!

Im seriously doubting i'l be able to find anything worth the effort, just so much absolute pooh being offered, 95% some wana be dealer, who's owned the car for days!laugh
Sad really coz Yanks now are traded like crap banger were 25 years ago, the difference being back then bangers were 400 quid , now they are 20000! FFS.............................................................................................................

Haven't got a clue why he did that, totally bonkers decision and even more mad to sell the original parts. That one was stroked to but i had a

Super Duty carb on mine which is ok in book, a worth while mod and it wasn't matching numbers so no good to the purist anyway.

Think his car went to Holland or Germany not sure which.

I think the yanks are the only thing selling, the same mate advertised his 4 cars ,Falcon coupe, stunning car,62 Capri, 2 Falcon Wagons

one rodded and the other original 260,2 speed Country Squire and he sold 3 of them apart from the Country Squire which he

was keeping but now got someone wants to buy it so he could be yankless by tomorrow,

4 garage spaces available, better be quick and fill them before he does. Just thought if he sells that as well as the others he will be bending my ear.

I to have no problem with only 2 seats after years of 7 seater estates, had to buy a Day Van at one stage as my girl friend had 2 boys and with my 3 and all the beach stuff even the estates were useless . Only need one seat now ,Billy no mates.

Ye what we paid £2k/4k for is now £12k/15k , that Charger prime example £4,500 now £30k/£35k in quite a short time,

Maybe £60k in another 10 years or more. The younger buyers don't know any difference.

Stunning Road Runner going up for auction ,69 says 440 but has 383 badge on the bonnet which is a strange thing to leave,

when you gone to the trouble of fitting a 440, it says original matching numbers engine goes with it. Manual with hurst shifter not pistol grip,

The dashboards been messed with but done well, lots of Candy Apple pearl house of Kolor paint every where ,maybe to much but done really

well and a lot of attention to detail. Very glitzy so i should hate it but i love it, usually prefer the harder race track look.

Think it might be local to me as one similar turned up at our Boxing day meeting a couple of years ago,had a quick look but as so much

to see, i went back to have a better look and it had gone.photo's also look local. estimate £30k-£36k , would be asking more in the states

plus getting it here and the rest.

Going to Goodwood tomorrow, AC owners Club sprint,be a mixture of tweeds and jeans depending which AC they drive.. Was thinking about taking the little seven but i should have left a couple of days ago'

censored Just herd from the Daily Mail that Britain is to go into national lock down next week, don't know if it's a rumour or fact.

F--k them,They can't shut us down again ,The limp wristed public school over paid , over educated nonces . I had the virus for 6/7

weeks so know how bad it is and don't want to go through it again still have the remblances of it which kick in from time to time ,

What was i saying about hot climate and that beach buggy, problem is they got it there to.

PS - How are you with land yachts, just spotted a white 63 Caddy coupe de ville, on Car and Classic, if the same car that was for sale at Billing

around 8/9 years ago it was immaculate then , seems a lot of car for £12,950 o.n.o, had a white 63 convertible just like it , guy i sold it too

still got it and doesn't stop thanking me every time i see him , first yank and says it has changed his life which is nice , 2 DR not a taxi as well.

You could do wedding with all the spare time you will have, perfect pair ,the bride will love the chrome and fins and the groom will love the muscle car.

Just seems value compared to the over priced rusty muscle cars but maybe not your cup of tea.. Just had a second look and i'm pretty

certain it's the same car, even the reg no looks familiar, funny i can't remember anything important but remember useless rubbish from years ago.

Just noticed it's in Durum so better be quick before they lock us in, The B-------s,

Good looking car no doubt, no really my thing, i much prefer the bog standard Satellite, and its variants.
and at 30 plus, not a genuine 440 car, theres others about at less money, like the 440 GTX 4 speed, at around 25k with a built motor.

And a genuine 70' Superbee 383 manual , dual quad, etc good looking car, 30K now, i did contact the seller of this one, at 25K i would have viewed it, with a view of buying it, and then moved the Challenger on, i still may go see it as its not far from me, ive got some time off soon,
and if its worth it i'l try an add for my RT.
Great looking Car the 70' Coronet , love the front ring bumpers etc...................

Not really into the huge old yanks now, im too old and they are too much of a handfull, having said that i do like the triple white 440 300 car currently for sale, £12,500 , looks a deal but to far to travel to view for me...............................

That's what i meant by saying i shouldn't like it but a do ,My problem is i wear to many hats, like the stripped out racer with all the mods to suspension,

steering ,brakes as these yanks need all the help they can get to keep them on the black stuff, still would love another 59 Caddy and

if not a overkill a tasteful custom, ghost flames are ok but not keen on the traditional ones, loved that 61 Caddy coupe in House of

kolors gold with flake roof and the guy knew when to stop,Keysey Hayes, wide whites ,air ride just enough, looks like it's sold now.

For the tweed in me Guy Broad has a MK2 3.8 manual, coombes spats, black wires, nice period wood rim plus mechanical mods,

similar to a 2.4 MK 2 Hot Rod i sold last year, had 4.2,rack/pinion,big brakes ,straight through's with headers, competition wires and vented bonnet,

Now looking at another so why did i sell that one.

There as a 66 pro street Belveder ,says manual,450bhp and 550 with nitrous, rear belts, made £14k on Ebay unsold,

buy it now £19k, was on the Mopar site not sure if still there, you probably seen it, looks very biddable .

and you can keep the Challenger. The GTX and Super Bee look good value compared to others

Didn't get to Goodwood, most won't turn up and those that do will be either slow or not risk it with this much water,

Goodwood doesn't dry out quickly and probably the worst day to be a hero in a Cobra.

My mate sold his Country Squire this morning so with empty garages and a even bigger bag of cash he's dangerous at the moment.

It's all in the name ,Road Runner is a great name even if it's taken from a cartoon character.plus the rear looks a bit beefier .

How come none of my wives and girlfriends looked as good as these Mopar girls,

Trouble is you end up selling the Road Runner to buy them a house and your 2.5 children to live in and start all over again

when they divorce you and end up with 2/3 of the house eventually if your lucky and give half of your new ride that you managed to replace your Road Runner with to them.

Who said it was a man's world, Going gay next time round( am i allowed to say that),at least you can take a swing at each other ,

Sorry guys not sure where all that came from.

Trouble is these are huge cars, and really dont fit in a normal garage, i can just get one in mine, but its tight!
I do like the 70' SuperBee, Fab looking car, went to Wales once to look at a Metallic Green Car, Ex Budgie i believe, it was a mess!
Think its down your way now?? The Orange car does look nice but just to much cash to sit outside, tops is 20K for me and thats a struggle!
i'l just keep waiting and looking!

Looks like were being locked up again so that will put paid to viewing or dealing ! Then it will be Chrimbo so really cant see me doing sod all for the foreseeable laugh

Need to go to Birmingham,Manchester and Edinburgh and will involve a overnight stop, looks like i'd better be quick as it will be a month or more before they will let anyone out.

Same here, stopped raining and sun came out around 2.30 ,to late to get to Goodwood but managed to wash the daily's off.

Waist of time, one trip up the lanes they will be muddy again.

When my mate phoned to say he's sold his wagon i fully expected him to bend my ear about the T/A but didn't mention it.

Even if the seven goes still need a top up unless the price can be heavily negotiated my way,

If we are going to be locked in will give me some breathing space as car not advertised but at the same time i may go and

have a look to see how good or bad it is depending when this lock down starts,

The trip up north can't wait and need to visit 3 main dealers in 3 different towns before they close down as i have a service book

for one of my cars that have various stamps missing from these dealers and they all said they will stamp them in the service

book if i can get it to them, because it's 3 different garages i am reluctant to send the book as it will have to be sent on to the

next one and then on to the next one again and then rely on them or the post office not to loose it and then send it back to me.

All the ingredients for a disaster waiting to happen and after having 4 years of fighting this car i can't afford yet another problem.

Could end up with a lost book then have no service history at all instead of a part history which i have now.

If this goes pair shape it will be virtually impossible to sell and would have a bigger kicking that i am already taking .

Don't get these problems with old yanks.

Anyway enough of my problems ,lets hope this Dart is what you want. There a good size and another Mopar for your collection.

Perhaps your mate had forgotten about the TA?? if so may well be a good idea just to keep quite lol,
Maybe he's had enough now and the cars are a pain, just storing them now's a mission!

Yeah i'l see what the Dart looks like, its only a distraction to be honest, its certainly not my first choice, but been looking now for a couple of months, prices are reducing but generally its still tons of over priced pooh on offer,

Cars that are already restored or in good around order are defiantly the best buys as per! 10-15K separating turds from nice cars, its a no brainer, this situation aint new but the gap between nice and turdy has deffo reduced, so no real point buying a project, well certainly not a Yank anyway, the parts/panels now are stupidly pricey,

Just seen the Light Blue Tiger that was on "the market " a couple of weeks back, apparently sold at 41K, a local to me Dealer has it up for 70K rolleyes

What's going on another one of my old cars for sale,65 Le Camino on E Bay listed today,Sold it to my mate who sold all his cars,
It was only for sale a few months ago on Car and Classic, now for sale again. Don't think there's anything wrong with it
it was a great car but i found it a little boring, drove to much like a modern car .

Good point about a longer lock down, was going to take chance and send the service book but now with the garages closing Wednesday night
looks like i'm in for a road trip ,so Tueday and Wednesday are the only days left.
Not looking forward to it,got no problem driving to Marbella but Scotland ,I'm still wearing shorts,

My mate is a very impulsive buyer and at the same time walk away just as quick, but you are wright best keep quiet but with whats going on at the moment i've got a good mind to let him have it as i can have as much fun out of a £10/£20k yank than a £45k one.

In fact i miss my modified Fox that cost me under £3k,more than the expensive ones. Go out and hunt out the local Skylines,Impreza's and Monroe's and with it's cam, shorty headers,3" Magnaflow exhaust and old air ram system revved and sounded more European and nobody knew what it was.

Have you seen the Dart yet,is it a 318 ,if it's yellow with black bumblebee stripe could be my old car, nice size for a second car just like the Falcon. Nice easy car to work on as long as it doesn't need restoring ,just a few bits and pieces while your driving it.

Saw the plum Crazy Challenger up for buy it now £22,950, not silly with it being manual, 440 in one of the best colours,
It went up to £23,190 winning bid ,maybe they run it up to that figure unless the buyer did the usual E Bay trick and did a runner.
If that happens the seller usually puts available due to time waster.

I saw the Tiger, wouldn't need to sell many a year with £29k mark up, Best of luck to them ,He who dares and all that. The car got a confused look to it,neither stock road or track car ,sits to high needs lowering.
Who would put a luggage rack on a race car unless you are going on the Paris to Peking rally.

.
As for this forced lock down it's not going to have any effect at all and will take a darn sight more than a month to show any improvement, Spring and summer will be the only solution ,it's a invisible enemy for f__ks sake. Many of our local MP's are going to vote against the lock down as numbers here have dropped and beds are available but fear it will still be passed.

Watching small business people who are just and i mean just getting back on their feet having to close again makes my blood boil,Cornwall has got next to no cases and they got the same lock down as the north country , Northerners are more sociable than us southerners ,like there pint, whether pub or night clubs and in and out of each others homes as they are more hospitable ,

That's how this virus is spread plus it's much colder which fuels the virus even more, people feel safe with friends and relatives and let their guard down when together ,Where as 99.99% of shoppers wear masks, keep their distance in queues ,use the hand sanitisers provided in the shops, banks, petrol stations as they feel more vulnerable. Closing the shops isn't going to stop this virus just bankrupt the country and won't see the recovery in my time ,

I lived in a student community for years and although they have all their PHD's and Deploma's they litrerally find it difficult to cross the road ,
which is just what our Spitting Images limp wristed politicians are like, they haven't got a clue how to put one foot in front of the other
let alone run the country changing the criteria on a daily sometimes hourly basis ,

What is this tear 2,3,4,5,all about ,the muppet politicians don't even understand it when asked let alone us. now we all been punished whether high or low rates beds or no beds with this lock down .

I'm not to educated or political person but have enough common sense to know we are going in the wrong direction .
Feel like we are on the Titanic with Boris with his over privileged buffoons steering us towards the iceberg and we all know the out come of that. We are just sitting here helpless unable to do anything to avoid what we all know what is to come

,Could go on forever but think i've said to much already. This is the first time in 69 years i've voiced my opinion on anything political ,Probably the wrong place but this is the only forum i'm a member of , after this probably not for long .

. Sorry for the rant ,I know this is a car forum but i just had to get it off my chest
and probably saying what most of you lot are thinking. dare say the moderators will take this down as it's so off thread and little to do with cars.,

Rant away ! its a forum lol............... Yep not much in way of common sense, these days, we live in a world full of Narcosis obsessed individuals, who want the world and want it now, Strange times indeed !

Which is why we keep the faith with these old and very flawed motors, I love the fact that im doing my bit towards Global warming laugh
I'l have to have a look for your old pick up, sound cool, and yeah saw the 440 4 speed was back on, obviously ive not seen the car in the flesh but pretty sure its a turd, loads not right in the pics etc, and given photos lie this is not good!,
The other chally for sale at 35K is another clone/bitsa , started out a 318 etc,

See the leary Mustang is on the Market, and the Kermit Challenger is up tomorrow ? looking forward to seeing what they make!

Theres a Superbird up soon, estimate 140-200K FFS! 440 4 speed, another one to watch! laugh
