That Satellite is on nicely restrained steelies though.....which at least it has that going for it.
It looks an OK car tbh, only really needs a repaint and the removal of that hideous B&M shifter gubbins and returned to stock(ish) 727 setup.

I'm told the stupid size blingy wheels is trendy and fashionable........but I wouldn't know that as I've never been trendy and fashionable in my life, having been buried in the 'mid-century' era since I was in my early teens laugh
I think like most of us on here you haven't just jumped on the band wagon because it's now trendy,

You've been practicing what you preach for years,I thought i was pretty gendered up until i came on here but you guys are on a different level.

Most but not all the yanks that i see at places like Goodwood ,Silverstone are bought just for that reason with most

not giving me the time of day when i rolled up in yank whether muscle or land yacht 25/30 years ago looking down their nose

as if i'd just come from the local ghetto , now they ponce about like they just discovered them,

A bit harsh but true in most cases.

Makes the 66 ex drag 440 manual Belvedere sound sensible at £18,500 that was on the Mopar site and E-Bay not that long ago,

I suppose the word Hemi is to some like Shelby is to others, Next yank i buy will be to drive not polish, not rat but not mint,

something i can drive in most weathers and park without having to drive round in circles looking for a safe haven for it,

Done as much as i'm going to on the Gallardo ,got service book stamped in Birmingham and Manchester, decided to send it

up to Edinburgh for the remaining stamps so if not lost in the post will get it back later this week then get it gone and get back

in the real world and treat myself another yank .

Sounds like a plan, got far more use out of the RT before i ruined it laugh so annoyed with myself as i kept saying, id never do another personal car that i couldnt take to tesco's and happily leave it in the car park!

Having said i think with the current trend for dropping values, my motor wont be worth any less with some road rash and the odd ding, quite ironic when you think about ! laugh

Leaving it in Tesco's car park is a good yardstick to aim for .

used to be able to do that with all my old yanks only problem is that the parking bays have got smaller since then.tank

Loving that especially the colour, it's good to be different. prefer the Coronet shape ,a little more to it with the bulging rear arches,,

had one in primer some years ago,ex/drag car ,a 383 from memory ,took it in p/ex against my 63 Riv, sold it for around £6K at the time

that was good money in primer as not a fashion item then.rolleyes,

Cool looking machine,
The black steelies and letter tyres look mean as hell. I know I might be alone here, but I couldn't live with that colour personally.

Took the Firebird to the local car show again on Tuesday. Forecast was dry, so of course it rained. Cue me cleaning and drying it on my drive at 9pm before putting it away. The neighbours must thing I'm mental - they might be right. wink

Tom's Midget racer with its late model ohc 4 valve Old's 4 banger will interest you more though RR - wonder what the story is from the pub.....?

I believe that's (well, was) the Green Man at Hodsoll Street. Don't know where Tom lives but the pub's not a million miles from the Claremont site and I know Tom is still around as he called in there when I was there talking to Matt last year. Apparently the pub caught fire a month or so back. It was a very old building, now destroyed by the look of it, I expect it'll be sold for development now just like every other postage stamp of land in the SE.

Here's a random question from me - any of you chaps got an American RV?

I've looked a quite a few, and was about to purchase one yesterday (31ft Thor Four Winds Class C on a GM/Chev chassis with the 6.0 Vortec V8), but I found a leak out of the bottom of the bellhousing and having rung around for an idea of prices to repair (I can't get anything like that up in the air to get under it myself) it was coming out eye-watering, plus I just don't need another project, I want something I can turn the key and go.

Anyway, any thoughts, suggestions, places to look for ones for sale (other than eBay and FBay)?

just got back from a nice run out , probably annoyed the neighbors rolling out of the estate at 7-30 on a Saturday laugh

But with the weekend forecast one will not be able to move around here from 10-30 , which means the cars stay on the drive, its like being under siege FFS!

Ive made two more Exhaust mounts, which i intend to fit today, which should control the system better, ive one area where the over the axle runs very close to the near side shock, no obvious rub marks but at some point will remove it and cut a channel and weld in a u shaped section to give loads more clearance,

Boys and there toys hehe

Newsattten, I had to go to St Nicholas at Wade this morning, headed back towards Dartford at about 12.30 and the M2 and Thanet Way were absolutely mobbed. M2 was chokka back up past Gillingham all the way to at least Whitstable!

So annoying , the car runs, drives and steers perfectly, amazing in fact, but this driving me insane!

Did see 2 Vettes while i was out, very early C1 and a hideous beige C3 lol............. complete with an ageing rocker lookalike driving it, priceless laugh

Rosco this a bit of you? could use this for any trip out! as much as i like my RT the pull of something more usable is growing every time i sit in traffic like today, 45mins to do 3 miles, 210 on the temp gauge, 250 on the driver gauge! laugh 3 sets of temporary traffic control in a 1 mile stretch of road ,

laugh i reckon if we'd been able to go to the Mopar meet in Brighton it would have taken us 3-4 hours each way, just taken my Daughter an hour to get home from us, she lives 2 miles away!
