Yep I hope he uses it , but he may be a voyeur?
Just likes to look and own something a tad unusual,
As I said it’s Buckinghamshire way so I guess it make the odd show etc
He's only a few miles from Motorama, and only 45mins or so from Brooklands, so he might turn up at the Yank show at Brooklands in Sept, or Blenheim for the Rally of the Giants in July, as that's only 45mins or so from where he is as well?Just likes to look and own something a tad unusual,

Same for any of the Bicester Heritage Scrambles, as that's only 45 mins or so from where it is now.

Like the Kermit Europa , but not the headlamp mod,
It’s a quirky car , why change it??
There’s a purple Twin Cam for sale 5 miles from me
But it’s a mess and 20 grand not enough elbow room for a punt !
But small go carty handling does appeal ,
However even if I could cobble the funds together I’m really unsure I’d actually be able to get in one !
I’ve been practicing using a E’ I can slid into one of them no bother!
So maybe the lotus also with high sills could be doable !

Getting in is the easy bit...... However even if I could cobble the funds together I’m really unsure I’d actually be able to get in one !
For me, getting out would involve all sorts of ungainly, undignified and likely painful contortions, and still might not result in the desired outcome

If he does, I'll try and chip him down to £25k!
Joking aside I hope he enjoys it for what it is
Cruel.Joking aside I hope he enjoys it for what it is
He'll get used to it, it's bound to be a surprise if you're only used to modern stuff. Mine handles, steers, stops and rides like crap, but I expected no less!
First local classic meet of the year last night where the weather was dry. Huge turnout, probably 150 cars and all sorts of stuff, from a K series powered Moggy Traveller to a, erm, Dalek.
Exterminate...
Just listed my kidneys on Ebay so i can buy that lightweight Porsche ,
At least i won't look like a banker or estate agent in that .

A little older than 70 Newsatten (72 a couple of weeks ago). I just finished grooming Treacle, our rather large black standard Poodle (who hates being clipped). Generally do it three time a year and it takes me two/three consecutive days to complete the job - first day body, face, tail and rear end. Second day his legs. Third day shampoo and 'scissoring' any 'high spots' and loose ends. Thing is it really shags my back for several days so will need to rest-up for a few days now. 'Pulling' an engine now would incapacitate me for at least a week afterwards.
And yes, that very engine is I'm sure is holding things back. Reality is (and much like Newsattens buyer) most UK Corvette buyers are actually new to Corvettes and American cars in general. As with Newsattens buyer most don't have a clue about the cars and certainly won't have the typical 40 or 50 years on/off experience with Yanks that most of us on here share. The 'mindset' we're dealing with here is that these buyers are often staggered by the performance of a mid 70's emission era 180 hp Corvette. They'll actually believe that they are driving the ultimate performance car and won't have any conception how much quicker a car can be (and don't even 'stretch' thier own cars)..........so won't be interested. It kinda worries me letting someone like that loose in a car like mine - we've all seen where these things can so easily get out of control.

The 911 is fantastic but I'd have the lime green Europa and refinish all the black 'brightwork'. An early rendering of the car c.1965 / 66 had covered headlights and I quite like them, but each to their own and all that. The great thing about these cars is most mods are reasonably easy to do or have done by someone else. I'd love a replica / homage to the 1968 'GKN' 47 which is actually a completely different animal to the standard car as it was about 10'' longer and had a bespoke chassis frame with a bored out Rover V8 dropped in....

And we call the 71/73 Mach 1 a breadvan,Sort of like it in a odd sort way ,looks like a perfect track car,
Still think i'd prefer the 911 even though it will probably throw me in the hedge eventually

It's a really good show. We had a fun mix in our little convoy there, me in my shiny heap, one mate in a '91 Golf GTi, the other in his Dad's '37 MG TC! Just listed my kidneys on Ebay so i can buy that lightweight Porsche ,

The Porsche is an RSR replica, it's (was) an '82 underneath. Still an awesome thing, and no doubt mucho ££££££
Spoke to the guy selling the Yellow 340 Duster
this morning, sounds a very level car
Tempted to have a look
I know I shouldn’t even be looking! But it’s a 4 Speed Hipo 340 , smallish and a 4 Speed!
It really does tick most of the boxes apart from being a tad boring to look at , but it’s a 4 speed
