This may be of interest to you - Aussie Chrysler made a coupe called the Charger in the early - mid 70's:

Most of the ones I saw/knew in NZ came with a 265 ci Hemi headed 6 cyl which you can get 300hp out of reasonable easily.
There was an earlier Valiant coupe as well, which looks very similar to the US Dart:
4 door sedans were much more common.

Sensational!
There was one in Fulham in the early 80's, I used to see it most days on the way to work.
The guy was trying to sell it to my Moparmate who had a 69 Charger at the time...
The 69 was £5000 with fresh paint.
The Aussie Charger was £1000 needing lots of paint lol...
It was only ten years old and very rusty even then???

I'm looking forward to page 427 personally.
Funnily enough, you can buy a 427 Chev crate engine that weighs the same as the 350 in my Impala:

Had a vinyl fitted the help cover the holes in the roof,
Lovely
Sold it on the Free yellow adds !

Not sure where you get that idea from, even with ally heads and intake manifold, its a big-block and still going to be well over a100lbs or so heavier than a 350 SBC with iron heads and cast-iron manifold.Funnily enough, you can buy a 427 Chev crate engine that weighs the same as the 350 in my Impala:

Iron block, iron head, iron manifold SBC weighs about 520lbs, an SBC with ally heads and manifold is about 475lbs.
A BBC with ally heads and manifold weighs about 650lbs, compared to an all iron BBC which comes in at around 750lbs.
One of the all ally LS small block motors weighs in at around 390lbs.....!
