but absolutely wont curve without breaking!
Old cars lol............................................

What a difference that's made, really adds to the car. Breaks up the orange as well.

What took you so long thumbup Didn't have a spoiler on my sublime R/T as it had a black bumble bee stripe instead, can't

remember what the Primal Scream car had now, must did some photo's out.

Don't panic the op won't hurt a bit, easy for me to say i know , it's the boredom after banghead ,

Still nice to get it out the way before summer .

Yeah looks rather good!

My boss has furloughed me for the next 8 weeks, suits us both really, my workshop is being gutted, removing all the old Extraction Fans etc, all new lights
top and on the side walls,
Digging up the car park outside, and thats being relaid to handle my new Spray Booth, full spec and complete with mixing scheme and gun wash room at the rear!
He's saying that for the rest of this year im only doing bus work and his Dads motors, first up will be the Gunmetal V12 coupe , then the Series 3 OTS
To be fair ive heard this all before! but maybe just maybe it may well happen??

Trimming a coupe takes forever, but i'l actually have some proper space to do stuff laugh

Brilliant news!

I start my Rigid lessons next week, foresee the bus industry nosediving over here so pre-empting it and hopefully, things perk up!

Sounds like Christmas and Birthday all rolled into one, something to look forward to when you get back to work.

Your boss wouldn't spend that sort of money without a plan and it sounds like he's including you in it.

This furlough has it's advantages for both parties by the sounds of it,

Harry's Garage is having his rare manual V12 coupe painted on You Tube ,This model seems to be the forgotten Jag for a long time but seem

to gaining a following more recently. Did anything materialize with the Lotus +2 or did your boss change his mind about selling.

My mate Mick, who's waiting to go off to the States, built a V12 Coupe Manual years ago into a Broadspeed Race Replica, Fabulous looking car,
Just Old English White and a Black Vinyl Top, Huge Race Wheels and Intermediate Race Tyres, probably not road legal!

It ended up in a Posh Dealers in Town, must have been early 80's ????

At some point ive got to estimate for repairing and repainting the Lotus! Sam ,my boss has asked to to get it out at some point and check the chassis etc,
pull the motor apart , if its sort of worth doing he wants me to do it on the QT then at some point surprise his Dad by leaving outside the house laugh

Like a pimp my ride thing! its been off the road for 36 years,.....................................................................
I did try to rotate the motor the other day, turned then locked! so i pulled the cam cover and the chain aint on the sprockets! but its not stuck,

That would be quite a car in manual especially if he sorted the suspension and brakes out, Always liked Steeds car in BRG but i think

it had standard mechanics,

Nice surprise for your boss's dad , Lots of responsibility on your head, hope he gives you plenty of time,

36 years that's along time off the road even for a Lotus, can of worms come to mind but i'm sure it will be in good hands.

With all this time off will give you plenty of time to figure out what wheels, not nagging you just excited to see what you choose,

The lanes are drying out a little round here so polished the daily drivers today, nice easy job compared to what's been going on lately.

Now it's raining again, smash

Yeah coupe was a great looking motor, think it was all jag under the huge arch's lol............... very little in upgrade stuff back then, race stuff would have cost a bomb, i had a P plate 4.2 auto , Burgundy with Doe trim, 8 years old and rusted to death!

The Lotus is probably some wishful thinking, but the sentiment is understandable , having just a quick look in the motor, the cams and buckets look sound
both cam sprockets have teeth missing, yikes! floppy chain did'nt look good, but hey ho, i'l just do as asked,

Funny you should mention my Rims! im still ummmimg laugh but probably will just stick with old school ARE's and BFG's a bit twee i know , but
old cars have doughnut tyres laugh
Going to call Northants this week...........................

Where did you see the 100K TA?? im assuming its a 4 speed SD, still silly though ,

Both T/A's are on Car and Classic, Think from memory they are under classic cars not American cars.

Manual or not that is crazy money for a 74,

I'll give you £250K for your Challenger, not a penny more and i'll buy my own wheels.

Just spotted a 68 matching numbers GTO , Manual as well, suddenly seems good value at £35K,

80,000 miles, could buy three of them for the price of that T/A, on Car & Classic again , under classic cars.

The SD , missing some of its most important bits, Heads/inlet im guessing carb etc, its a mongrel , Shaker sitting high is a sure sign its been messed with, Hugely over priced , A perfect documented car State Side may may that kind of money, A turd here in Blighty Nah !
The 70' Z28 with a full tilt 427' M22 4 speed, what looks like a perfect interior looks 20 times the motor for half the money biglaugh

Yes as nice as it is it's not cheap for a shark nose Z28 , maybe in comparison to that 74 T/A but you can't judge the price on one by another.

Don't normally like golds and bronze colours but for some reason it seems to suit it ,

Looks very similar to the Z 28 SRT Hellcat had.

All these prices you guys are floating around for 60's and early 70's muscle cars have made me re-think the the potential value of my Vette. Not actively looking to sell but with some of these prices being asked (and if realised) Makes me think.............

Only problem is like when selling your house you got to pay more for the replacement unless you get lucky

a bag a bargain , Trouble is with the internet everyone knows what their car is worth ,ball park anyway.

With spring coming and hopefully lock down over it would be a good time to test the water,

I think buyers will be hungry for a new toy after being locked for up so long and with people not having

expensive holidays they may splash the cash on a new car instead.

It's unlikely that a regular Vette buyer will want your car, it's to specialised but someone who will

appreciate what it is and the amount of work and money that's gone into it,

Hate to think how much it would now cost to duplicate whether you do it yourself or a specialist garage.
