If it's this F150 http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/185562.htm, then we're looking at 10 years old with 100k miles and no leather; probably cost less than £9k new with usual factory discounts (http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/pricing.aspx?year=1997&make=Ford&model=F-150&trimid=-1)
Near £6k is going some. I'd reckon £4k tops if it was pristine and personally would knock at least a grand off with an LPG conversion, although some folks might not worry about that
Also have to bear in mind that late model F150s are being brought in with high specs, deep factory/dealer discounts and a weak dollar

Problem with Classic American is it takes so long to get published, but might give it a go.
I find Ebay good for buying but not selling... watching trucks, not many are hitting their (sensible) reserves at the minute.

You can get 3 seaters for £4500 but 6's start at £5500 and I've been looking everywhere.
The gas conversions cost £2000 so what kind of idiot would want to pay LESS for half price fuel ????
Obviously they run as std on petrol... which I think you've been sniffing !

Normally i'd say £5500 is acheviable for an 1997 extended cab truck with the LPG giving cheaper running costs.
The thing that dips the value on your truck is the manual trans, people generally want an auto on the back of a lazy V8

I think it is a steal at that price mate ! I cant belive you havnt sold it. It would do me for towing my race car but when i sold my ford econoline i bought a toyota surf.
Have you tryed putting it up for sale in american car world formaly (street machine).. Good luck. P.S. Would you do a straight swap for my toyota surf even though its only worth half of what yours is.
