For a really low inlet, some of the boat manifolds had the carb almost as low as the rocker cover rails, performs fairly well as they were on 260hp 350s.
i have seen those used even with huge blowers strapped on top! i also thought elbroke or someone did low rise manifolds!

Sorry.It was the XC-8.
The X-C8 isn't going to make it low-rise at all.

Hillborne injection with the right trumpets might do the trick.

For my own engine, I've looked at building my own inlets. I looked at that weber cross-over manifold, but it's for a 23deg head engine, where mine uses NASCAR/Busch heads (18deg) and the intake ports are different.
I'll either go for Hillborne, or similar when I finally go injection and release another 70-100bhp!!!

Wasn't the X-C8 the 'original' cross ram Z-28 inlet ?
