Paid my ransom to the customs man today and picked up this lovely Le Jour automatic chrono today.... far cheaper than a Pasadena, and slightly rarer because it's not PVD . biggrin Just got to try and source a new crystal for it now.

I love these, I really do.

So much so that the Lady in the Rolex shop at Heathrow is getting fed up with me!
Maybe pop in every other tea break, so she doesn't notice so much? wink
I love mine.

It's my daily watch.

Yup. Pretty much all the time... hehe

As a compass feature it's probably not that great, but I really like the overall look and feel of the watch and am training myself to ignore the fact than 'N' isn't at the top of the dial wink

That's lovely! It's amazing what a little bit of ink on the dial will do for the value of a watch.

The Pasadena had been a safe queen - not worn since it was purchased in 1982.

I paid just over 4 figures for it.

Is it Lemania powered or 7750?

Nice ones, here's my Lemania PVD version:

...and with a s/s cousin from around the same time (again, mid-eighties)-

I'm still not a complete fan of the case shape of the 510.50x series if I'm honest, but they are still lovely watches.

Interesting the s/s one has "Carrera" written on the dial!

Easiest way to tell is the top subdial - it's a 30 minute counter on a 7750, but a constant 24hr indicator on the Lemania; the Lemanias minute counter is from the centre spindle, when set to zero, the minute and second chrono hands are superimposed so it can be hard to tell sometimes whether there is one or two hands there.

Yup - it's a Carrera, the last incarnation of that model before the 1990's remake I think. Different case shape to the Pasadena/1000 series 510.50x ones.

I hadn't noticed - but can see it now.

Blimey, wondered if you'd get one of these!

Any plans for an RM037?
