I have got a bit of a thing for Seiko, i have got 4 of them in my collection.

None of them particularly special but all different enough to compliment each other. the 1979 digital and the mid 80's square face belonged to my Grandfather. My favorite is the copper faced 5.

The great thing about Seiko is that someone like me who cannot justify spending big money can build a collection of interesting watches, in both style and mechanics, for very little money!

Nice collection!

Have you got model numbers on the two rightmost ones?
The black faced 5 is SNK809. I have no idea what the copper faced 5 is, I know it is old, possibly 25-30 years old, I've never seen another one like it!

I would suggest that the copper/gold faced one has a 7009 movement and has been through India at some point in its life for a "refresh"

You are absolutely right, it is a 7009 movement and i have always thought it was a modified/custom face. not sure about the India connection though? i got it from Norfolk!

Delivery from Creation yesterday. The strap is not as bad as I feared but it will be changed - suggestions?

Shark mesh?

Standard Monster bracelet would work well too.

Ok, after owning all sorts of cheap watches over the years, the last couple of months I've dove into Seiko.
Love the brand and what they produce. Truly hooked:
Bought this in just a couple of months getmecoat

Mind you, the two chronographs are gifts for family members in the coming months...

Took delivery of a new Pogue today - the blue one. It'll be off for a service next week to fix the chrono and date wheel.

What are they for? Were they designed for a specific activity?

Very nice collection

I too have just bought a Pogue (1971) - pics to follow as it's too big for my wrist and I broke my tool thing trying to adjust it (and lost a spring bar)

Cool - love these; where did you source these from (if you don't mind me asking)?

I'll just barge in here ... they look like they're the re-issues of the watch worn by Ripley in Aliens.

the black pvd one is the SCED037 quite easy to find, but the silver SCED035 is a little trickier and pricier they come up on ebay from time to time but i got both mine direct from Japan. You could try Yahoo auctions
