Needs a new cap so not regularly worn these days (back to Japan job on these) but getting an outing today after the shaver charger got it going again smile

Two new acquisitions. First up we've got a 6319-5030 from 1975 for the grand total of £56. It's got a nice purple flash across the dial because of the faceted crystal. It was running about 6 sec / hr fast but after a tweak I've got it down to 2 sec / hr. It's pretty regular so I think there's better to be had, just not with my shaky hands.

And I finally found the watch that kicked off my vintage Seiko obsession hobby - a black faced 6139-8020 on the steel rally bracelet. The watch came from Lima and the NOS bracelet from Saudi Arabia, so it's a truly International watch. Sorry about the crummy photos...

Very cool indeed!

The lugs on the 5030 would drive me nuts though. Is there scope to put it on a different strap or bracelet?

Thanks! The 5030 is a weird central lug thing so I don't think replacing the strap would be easy. But it doesn't make my teeth itch!

My Seiko chronograph hand is no longer working as it's hitting the second hand.

Anyone have a good repair place in West mids for recommendations?

Thanks

Can't recommend anywhere in the West Mids but I can recommend getting in touch with Anglesey Watches and Clocks and getting it sent there.

I seem to have developed a small Seiko 5 collection. Would like to put the one on the right onto a leather strap but the lugs are unusual.

You could either buy a leather strap and a sharp knife and modify the strap yourself or get one hand-made for the watch.

Somewhere like Steveo Straps

Might cost half as much as the watch but if you really like the watch then will be worth it.

Thanks for that, didn't even think about a custom made strap.

How long did it take you to make it look like you threw them on a pile.

At a guess, about the same amount of time, or less, than it took you to write that snide post smile

P.s you'll be wanting one of these - ?

I've been wearing my Pogue for the last few weeks. The cleaner at work said my watch was "very colourful".
I'm not sure she meant it in a good way... redface

£192 for a new battery fitted by Seiko and pressure tested to 1000m. I hope it last 5 years like its supposed to.
