Very nice two watches above ^^

I stumbled across a YouTube video last night (Bruce Williams) for an SBEX001 and thought, ooo that's nice, how much is one of those? Blimey, perhaps not for now.

I've only recently got into watches to be honest, but I think I have 'the bug' already haha.

Got my first 'real' watch in many years a few months ago, an SNK809, and about 1 month ago added a diver - SKX007 - to the collection.

The SNK809 came with the standard black canvas strap which I didn't find very comfortable, so I got a handmade brown leather NATO strap from a shop on Etsy, which wears much nicer. For the '007, I ordered the 'J' model with the black rubber strap fro the States, and a StrapCode 'Super Oyster' bracelet which I'm really happy with!

SNK809:

SKX007:

Lume comparison:

Very happy with that pairing so far, but I have a few others that I have my eye on.

I took a gamble on buying the '007 due to it's ~42mm size, rather than the smaller version which is closer to the '809. But in a matter of hours the 007 felt perfectly at home and the size is just fine. So now, the 809 feels a little small..

So I may look to replace it with it's 'bigger brother', the SNZG13 on a NATO:

Or even a Citizen equivalent:

And I'm also looking to add a Samurai to my diver line up, I think I need some blue so maybe a Blue Lagoon, but more likely an SRPB49, again with one of StrapCode's bracelets..

A few 5's from India of all places through eBay! Roughly about £18-£23 each delivered, take about a month to arrive and most even work! They have the correct movements and generally a replacement crystal. I quite like them smile

a j SKX007 from Creation too, lovely thing. Ignore the Tudor

Oh yea and the bedside Seiko alarm clock that mimics the timing clocks @ the olympics and stuff, pretty cool!

Be aware that the display is very very dim when not illuminated by pressing the bar on top of the clock (stays illuminated for around 5 seconds), almost illegible in most lights. It doesn't write it off for me but it is a little odd that it's so dim.

Yes, it's a fantastic idea to publicize that kind of detail. Future customers will surely thank you.

I suspect that the numbers of internet folk feeling sympathy for 'the reveal' of your purchase tax avoiding wheeze might be more limited than you're expecting.

And let's be honest, it's not as though the planet doesn't know about this already so I'm not sure you need to be irked with the chap above.

My trio of Seiko's

Sadly my Monsters broken, it's got a terrible rattle and won't run so needs someone to open it up and have a look. To be fair it's about 9 years old and has been through the wars.

I also have one of these incoming which should be with me by Thursday thanks to the Ernest Jones sale and extra discount code.

Looking forward to getting it.
