Is that the '21' model number? I've been looking at them for a while, they're a really nice, retro looking watch. Nice solid thing with real depth of colour on the face. Makes my similarly styled Autodromo 'Redman' feel cheap by comparison. Regret buying that back in the day and using it as much as I have. Hey-ho......

Received this today. Liking it a LOT although do wonder if it's a tad too large on my 'Federarm' (''TM'' .... )
That looks more like a Recraft than a 5 - nice watch.I bought a Recraft when I was in the US recently:
I had spotted the blue version online but in the flesh, the champagne coloured dial appealed more. I didn't notice that the hands disappear into it a bit, but I can live with it. The blue version is the SSC667 and comes on a NATO, this is the SSC569. The leather strap is higher quality than I've had from Seiko before, but still a bit dull so I'm trying to find a really perfect leather strap. Weirdly Seiko's own photos of my watch seem to be in black and white so the dial looks silver, not champagne.
All Recrafts seem to have a larger case size; this is no exception but the lugs curve down a bit so it doesn't feel as large as the 43.5mm diameter might suggest.

I've been admiring that exact watch the last few days. You can also get the SCC625 that has a completely blue dial and comes on a leather strap. I've found a site that does them for around £150 in the UK but the SSC569 is about £100 more expensive plus import duty and Parcelforce rip off charge.I bought a Recraft when I was in the US recently:

I paid about £178 including all conversion costs and sales tax, buying in Macy's in Honolulu. I thought it might be possible to get it cheaper in the UK but I was on honeymoon so wanted something to take back with me. The Recrafts are often quite hard to source sensibly in the UK, aren't they.
They do look nice and retro (the 667 and my 569 - I tried both on) but they look big compared to the PADI Turtle I also tried.

Like all of them and was considering getting all 3 and punting my least favourites on eBay. Wish I’d done the same with the sarbsThey do look nice and retro (the 667 and my 569 - I tried both on) but they look big compared to the PADI Turtle I also tried.
here's my newly acquired srpa77,
I thought the knurling on the edge was daft for a bezel that didn't rotate, so I machined it down and put a big pilot-esque chamfer on, I think it came out how it should of looked from the factory.
Think I'm going to put a 6r15 movement in it and have a updated alpinist
