I like that too. I'm rather intrigued by GS now, especially as I'd barely heard of them before this thread. I could of course google (but where's the fun in that) but what sort of budget would one need for one something like this? ZesPak said:
Some very nice divers there.
Fan of rubber straps?
On a dive watch, it makes sense. I switch around quite a bit, but these three are static. Fan of rubber straps?
The Marine Master lives on the Crafter Blue strap because it's awesome.
The Darth only really works on the OEM with the black hardware, because the lugs are recessed.
And try finding a decent 19mm that holds the weight of a 44mm steel diver better than the OEM waffle that the SLA comes with!
Suggestions welcome

New they're 1900 up to 25k ish for the readily available models. 1900 to 3500 for quartz.
3k ish and up for autos.
Vintage pieces available from 700 or so
EBay, but be a little careful. Lots of advice out there, do lots of research.
Or some of the specialist dealers.
The London Boutique have one of the last SBDX017s in for Japanese list i.e. £2200. These used to retail at £3000 in the UK and are now changing hands for 2k plus on eBay. Got to be a good shout for somebody. I can't even find them in Asia for less.

Been toying with the idea of getting an SNZF15, my first seiko but being an automatic that needs winding has put me off a bit given it won't get worn loads. Any thoughts?
I think the first mechanical one that needs winding/wearing is special. its alive. Its easy enough to set up when you want to wear it and it does feel special. as said it feel like it has a little heart beat.eezeh said:

The big thing with mechanical watches is that when you chose to wear it you know it will work. A quick wind, or shake to wake, set the date/time and you're good to go. The most annoying thing about my quartz watches is deciding to wear one only to find the battery has gone flat since last time it was worn. lostkiwi said:

I have a citizen eco drive at the moment so that's never been a problem for me, only wear it at the weekends as I don't wear one to work. In that respect having another would be a bit frivolous, maybe for Christmas Does anyone else own a sport 5 auto Pepsi? Would like to see some more pictures, there doesn't seem to be a great deal of places to get one.

Hopefully Alex has enough in the bank left for a decent macro lens, his new collection is really coming together.
I've made good on this! Now I just need a lot of practice so I can take photos like Andy Tims
Here are some better shots of the SBGA267, along with one of the Snowflake and two of the Diver. I'm still trying to capture the texture of the Snowflake properly, I think I need a tripod.
