Pretty close! And yours is an automatic, so clearly superior. Edited by Spydaman on Wednesday 24th October 07:14

If only it had a few more jewels and a winder. Don't think I'll be getting a birth year GS First yet though as a SS one is $25k
Congrats. That's nice. Silly question but I don't see a crown? How do you adjust it? Edited by Fallingup on Tuesday 23 October 19:06

I have a few Seiko watches, with pretty much all of them serving as daily workhorses. I must admit, they don't tend to get taken off for anything, hence they can get a bit battered.
The ion Kinetic is my go-to watch:
I quite like this one:
I've also picked up a few Breil over the years (sort of Seiko), with this being my current favourite (new strap has been ordered!):

No crown as such as it's self-winding. There's a hidden one at 4 o'clock though for setting the time. Edited by Fallingup on Tuesday 23 October 19:06

I'd never heard of it before the thread mega-buy either, but I'm now comfortable in my smug superiority that I know all about them whilst most people have no clue.
Part of the in-crowd, donchaknow. For once.
Maybe you should buy one too? Really feel the part?!Part of the in-crowd, donchaknow. For once.
I can highly recommend it
Many many thanks to everyone for their kind comments, I'm completely enamoured with it. Worn it almost every day since, only taking off to wear my recently acquired Peacock.
I think the more you look at them the better they get. The slight matt finish on the dial, the blued hands, the smooth sweeping seconds. The finishing on it is perfect, I must have spent an hour looking at it through a loupe and there are just no flaws anywhere.

Yep 2018 pieces!
Mines arrived at my parents house, was expecting it to turn up Monday when I’m over that way!
Oh well consoling myself by fitting new hands to my modded monster.
