I don't know if it's normal but after I modded the hands on this SKX009 I kind of fell out of love with it for a while. Wearing it again today and fell in love all over again!

Seems like a good price at the moment....

Anyone got one?

I'm wearing one right now.

Add around £30 tax to the Creation price.

It's a nice watch, I wear it daily.
I have it in blue and it's rarely off my wrist.

I've got that one on the standard rubber strap and also a blue sunray dialled version on a bracelet.

Previously had the orange version but was stolen in a burglary.

I really like them.

maybe a daft question - are all Seiko 5 movements the same?

I have a Seiko 5 and love some of the other 5's designs but curious if the movement/design at the back is the same.

Yes most have the 7s26 or 7s36 movement

Did some scary disassembly but managed to get it back together. Gunmetal chapter ring is in!

Schoolboy error: I didn’t wait for it to stop, so bottled fitting the new second hand. Will do that soon.

The problem is, this is addictive. I’m now eyeing up Seiko 5 clear casebacks, crowns engraved with S’s, and trying to chose a sapphire crystal.

Thanks! smile Love the two above as well - that green one in particular seems to keep popping up at the moment to tempt me.
Decided to just get on and finish it tonight. Pulling off the original second hand was more stressful than popping out the crystal! Chuffed with the result now, and will leave it alone as it’s definitely finished and I don’t have a problem until I can get away with buying more bits without risking divorce.

Lovely.

Does it stay on full power if worn 24/7?

Yep - full power is indicated with the PR hand hard left as opposed to straight up (apologies if that was obvious to you but I had to have it clarified for me...).

I got to play with it for a day before handing it over to Mrs Fullook for safe keeping. I wore it for a little over 24 hours and by the time I took it off it was powered up to the max.

The photo above was taken today after it had been unworn for a couple of days by which time it had about 1/3 power left (which figures as its supposed to be a 72 hour reserve). I then hand wound it to the position you can see on the photo.
