Yep - full power is indicated with the PR hand hard left as opposed to straight up (apologies if that was obvious to you but I had to have it clarified for me...).
No need to apologise - I didn't know that either. You'd think, like a fuel gauge, that the full position would be fully clockwise (straight up).NDA said:

Just been given this early Christmas present from SWMBO, rather chuffed. Need to do some research but appears to be a 1970 or thereabouts 5 sport speedtimer in Roman and kanji date format!
Edit - some Google and it’s a 1971 6139-7020 “flying saucer”
Ohh and it’s JDM too apparently ....... just like a Honda Civic of the same era 🤣🤣🤣

It's a lovely thing.... I am hugely impressed by the technology, the story of the technology and the insane levels of craftsmanship.
I'd have a GMT version were I to be in the market.
I really fancy a GMT - but I particularly wanted a spring drive movement, and the power reserve treatment on the spring drive GMTs looks a bit low rent to my eyes compared to the diver, and especially compared to the snowflake. I'd have a GMT version were I to be in the market.
The spring drive GMTs are also quite bulky - no more so than the diver but the bulk seems to suit the diver better, if you see what I mean.
Still lovely watches though and on the short-list if I ever justify another nice watch to myself.

Only JDM watches have the "SpeedTimer" logo on the face.
