Silly question here. Is the outer cover removable and does it mark the case in any way. I like the watch but not sure I could deal with the extra size.

It can be removed but thats also how you take the bezel of so I wouldn't recommend it
But honesty its not as big as the numbers make out here is a photo of my other Tuna
Next to a DSSD I used to have remember the Rolex is 44mm but because it has lugs it
Looks and wears far bigger than the Tuna does
If you want I can take a photo of it next to some thing different ?

This is definitely something to bear in mind, Fallingup, they wear so much smaller than their size suggests they will. I have small ish wrists and the Spring Drive Tuna I just got (a few posts back there's a photo) doesn't look ridiculous on my wrist by any means.

Thanks. That does indeed put it into perspective. Though photos can be deceiving. I hadn't realised that the cowl (if that's the right term) was fitted in such a way. I always assumed it was simply a clip on protector. Interesting.

That's very kind of you bazza, thank you! You still have those 1000m bragging rights though!

I've been trying out some different straps on two of my Seikos recently, pardon the awful photos as usual. I'll try and get more use out of that macro lens I have I promise!

Depends, Zes. I'm actually not wearing it so much these days, and some very interesting things are coming out at Basel this year.

Thank you very much everyone, I really appreciate the kind words.

I bought the Peacock on a whim really, and because I thought it was (according to Seiko) the last one in the UK. Given it's limited nature of 700 worldwide I thought if I didn't get it I'd regret it later, but it's actually become my favourite GS.

Now the Snowflake is off it's bracelet it remains to be seen if the Peacock remains my most worn GS, but I think it will. It's such a lovely dial, The gold GMT hand and GS really make it.

I'm trying hard to track down an SBGA391G but no joy. There was one on Chrono24, but the bloody seller had already sold it and 'forgotten' to take the listing down.

I'd have a hard time choosing between the snowflake & the peacock.

I think the peacock edges it, but only just.

I'd take either of them over a LOT of other watches.

I hadn't appreciated how much they are. There are two on Chrono24 and the lowest price is over $8,000

Yep, they're going for a fair bit over list. There are a couple internationally that seem cheaper, but add 30% on and all of a sudden you're back up to the price of the European ones.

A new addition - swapped with another collector, he took away a very rare watch that I happened to have two of. Everybody's 'appy!
