Thanks, pretty much all sites have it on pre or back order. Even Seiko have no stock. Any uk dealers I’ve contacted say they don’t know when they will get any. I’ve already signed up in various sites for notification when some come into stock again.
Creation don’t have any high end Seiko’s in at all, all are SKX or lower

I didn't think it would be over £700. Blimey.

Yet more Pogue-age. This one is relatively unusual in that it's quite late (July 1976) and yet it's got an English/Arabic day wheel, and the - IMHO - nicer of the two dial variants, the 6030T. It's just had its first ever service - after 43 years... imagine running your car on 43-year-old oil - and apart from the crystal and a replacement barrel bridge inside, it's completely original... including the bracelet, which is often not the case (ie just about every one you see on eBay has an aftermarket replacement bracelet, a fact most sellers seem to forget to mention).

What an absolute stunner

I had a 22mm sailcloth strap lying around unused and thought it might look nice on the spring drive diver...

Is anyone using a marine master? If so how are you finding it.

I used to own the SBDX001 model, I sold it on the basis that I thought the Sinn UX i also owned at the time was the better built of the two. The Sinn has also since departed yet it's the Seiko I'd have back first.

The bracelet clasp is a bit clunky however the easy to use on-the-fly micro adjustment is a big bonus and the monocoque case, bezel, dial and handset have plenty of character IMO. They're a bit of a classic with pre-owned prices on the rise, you don't see them come up for sale as often now compared to a couple of years back or so.

Cheers for the feedback, I'm tracking one down at the minute.

SBDX001/MM300 (April 2103 model) daily wearer for the last 5 years, I bought is 'secondhand' as it is/was a JDM only... just be careful that the clasp doesn't snap/break (on the end of the fold-over part, as opposed to the ratchet end) mine broke and a genuine replacement was about £75, not the end of the World although it is a slightly duller finish than the original.

Good chunky feel and quality weighty watch, might not suit smaller wrists. Runs slightly slow, but that is more due to me not having it serviced smile

Its had some 'eye wincing' moments of contact with immovable objects, but has took them all with no discernible marks, other than the usual wear and tear, but still looks good thumbup

Can't fault it really... but never been diving in it biggrin

(I do have a proof/proof 6105, with original strap, that I haven't worn once in 6 years... it turns 50 next year, so it might be the market right be right to pass it on, to be honest it looks 'small' in comparison to the MM300)

Would anyone be interested in my Dawn Grey Samurai? Thinking of letting it go as I rarely wear it to be honest, my Tudor gets the most wrist time and I'd like to put some money into modding my SKX007 as my fun second watch...

Only worn about 30-40 times at a guess, I fitted the pictured Hirsch strap from new so the Seiko bracelet is completely unused, have the full box, paperwork etc..

I know they're going for a bit more than RRP on Chrono (though not as much more as the Turtle version) but I wouldn't be asking silly money.. just figured I'd test the water on here first as maybe one of you guys fancied one.. It really is a lovely watch, it's just that I'm trying to weigh up value vs. wrist time and this ends up in last place in that regard so it's a shame to keep it but not use it..

Seiko 7a28-7040 aka "Speedmaster" from Nov '83

(The JDM version was sold under the name Speedmaster, and some of them had a motorbike helmet and italicised capitals saying SPEEDMASTER on the clasp - what Omega thought of this practice isn't recorded, it seems...)

Very nice. The 7a28 was groundbreaking, and the movement is eminently
servicable so they are likely to survive longer than many of the models which replaced them.

I've been wearing this old thing today having just looked up how to set the time correctly.

I managed to find one! My first Sumo, and it is stunning!
I love how most of the time it appears to be black, yet on the right angle or the light catching it you get a lovely deep green.
The strap is slightly short for my wrist size, and sadly the clasp is feels a bit cheap, so will be ordering a Strapcode bracelet instead. I loveD the one on my SKX.

It was a hard thing to find, Long Island Watches had 1 in stock, even Seiko said no stock until the end of August, and most of it had already been reserved by AD’s.

I have read every page of this thread in the last few weeks, some very nice watches! I’ve wanted a watch for quite a while now as I’m 24 and never really had one but always wanted one! I decided on a Seiko brand watch and found this thread while searching and trying to decide what I wanted.

Anyway, got this while in Gran Canaria last week as a gift off my girlfriend (sorry for the bad phone photo):

Went to have it sized today, it looks tight but really isn’t, I just have fat squashy wrists I guess haha! The guy, when taking links out, seemed confused by the end links and took from the middle instead, he said the pins were different or something even from the middle. I’m a total newbie to watches so I haven’t got a clue.

Anyway got me thinking, could it be a counterfeit? The jewellers it was from seemed big but it was overpriced, he took over €100 off the price because I found it cheaper. That and the jewellers being confused by the links today had me thinking! There was nothing but fake stuff in the gift shops, would they fake watches too? Maybe I’m just paranoid...?

Anyway, it’s a SRPD25K1 Monster by all accounts and I like the look of it!

I of course need to set the time and stuff but I’m not home to see it for a bit now, just put it on for the photo, it’ll get destroyed in work!

Sorry for blabbling on!

If you email Seiko UK and ask nicely they might well send you a link or two.
